David Saxe Productions is casting replacements for "Vegas! The Show." Tiger Martina, dir.-choreo.; David Saxe, prod.
The show is currently running at the Saxe Theater at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, NV.
Seeking—Dancers: males (5'10'-6'2") and females (5'5"-5'9"), 21+, strong technique with a Broadway-Jazz influence, must be passionate and take their craft seriously, partnering skills are a plus, must see males bare-chested. Singers: males and females, 25-35, highly-trained experienced professionals with versatile singing styles (from 1940s big band and R&B to 70s and pop). Roles include Ernie: male, African American, baritone, strong triple threat, plays Louis Prima, Sammy Davis Jr., Louis Armstrong, Sonny Bono, Philip Bailey, Pips, lead. Pearl: female, African American preferred, soprano with belt and mix up to F over high C, strong dancing abilities, plays hostess of a nightclub, portrays Lena Horne, Pearl Bailey, Eartha Kitt, Ann Margret, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner, lead. Maitre D: male, Caucasian, tenor/baritone, plays Wayne Newton, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Pips, Elton John & Tom Jones, featured ensemble. Housekeeper: female, African American, mezzo/soprano with belt and mix up to F over high C, plays Ella Fitzgerald, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner, featured Ensemble. Dealer: male, Caucasian or light ethnic type, bass/baritone, plays Dean Martin, Pips and other roles, understudies Frank Sinatra, Louis Prima, Elvis, Elton John, Tom Jones, ensemble singer/dancer/actor. Cigarette Girl: female, Caucasian, attractive but character type, alto, plays Judy Garland, Betty Hutton, Cher & Keely Smith, ensemble singer/dancer/actor.
Auditions will be held Jan. 4, 10 a.m. (female dancers), noon (male dancers) & 2 p.m. (male and female singers) at David Saxe Productions, 920 S. Commerce St., Las Vegas, NV. Parking is limited to street only.
Dancers should bring appropriate dance shoes (heels) and professional attire. Female dancers who would like to sing should bring tracks. Male dancers should be prepared to read a few possible lines of dialogue. Singers should bring tracks or be prepared to sing a cappella standards/up tempo rock/or big ballads and bring shoes/attire to move if selected to stay.
