Auditions for Central Wyoming College’s spring musical Camelot are scheduled for Dec. 13 and 14 in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center.
 
The audition for singers is Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m. on the main stage of the Arts Center. It is suggested that participants prepare a tune from a Broadway show and bring sheet music to the audition. An accompanist will be provided.
 
Acting auditions occur on the following night on the main stage. Those auditioning will be asked to read scenes from the script.
 
Director Mike Myers said there are 10 roles for men and eight roles for women and one boy between the ages 11-14. Rehearsals begin Monday, Jan. 9 and the show opens February 24.
 
Camelot is based on “The Once and Future King” by T.H. White, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe.  It is the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and includes the legendary characters of Guinevere, Lancelot, the wizard Merlin, the enchantress Nimue, the villain Mordred and the sorceress Morgan Le Fey. The score includes Camelot, How to Handle a Woman, Before I Gaze at You Again, and If Ever I Would Leave You.
