Actors and Stage Manager for local Tour

FoodPlay Productions is casting This Is Your Life, a national award winning, thought-provoking and comedic show which helps teens see through media messages in order to make healthy choices around nutrition, body image, eating disorders, and media literacy.

Rehearsals in mid January in Massachusetts. Performances run February at middle schools in the eastern US, then March-May in the Salt Lake City area.

Weekly pay + per diem, travel, some meals provided. Actors must live in Salt Lake City area, though lodging and transportation will be provided for out of area travel.

Actors must be able to portray characters in early to mid twenties, have strong improvisational skills and great stage presence, care about health issues and be comfortable with teens.

Both actors must be over 18 and have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

THIS IS YOUR LIFE! Casting requirements:

Mike: Male comic Actor with a background in improvisation, strong physical comedy skills. Quick thinking and adaptability very important.

Wendy: Female comic actor with appealing stage presence, and ability to play the “straight man” while maintaining a sense of fun. Background in improvisation a plus.

Auditions will be held by appointment Tuesday, October 13 starting at 10:00AM and Wednesday, October 14 starting at 1:00PM at the Gallivan Center, Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah

FoodPlay Productions seeks well-rounded, non-traditional Stage Manager for spring tour. Ideal candidate has working knowledge of sound equipment, good organizational skills, penchant for travel. Presents positive role model for children, flexible, strong leader. Serves as ambassador, great with people, cool under pressure, positive attitude. Must have valid driver’s license with verifiable clean driving record. Must live in Salt Lake City area, though lodging will be provided for out of area travel.
