Seeking—Frank Jr.: male, 20s to play late teens, good-looking, intelligent, seductive con artist, can outsmart almost anyone, a man of all trades who poses as an airline pilot, doctor, and attorney, cashing millions in fraudulent checks, very charming and persuasive with women, strong tenor with a great voice; Carl Hanratty: male, to play 40s, any ethnicity, an FBI bank fraud agent whose mission is to catch Frank Jr., humorless, dour, lonely, relentless, compassionate, his cat and mouse game with Frank Jr. becomes a sort of father-son relationship, must be a strong singer and move well; Frank Sr.: male, to play 40s-50s, Caucasian, Frank Jr.'s father, a has-been swindler whose age is catching up with him, suave and slick, with a Rat Pack swagger, loves his son dearly and teaches him con skills, must be a strong singer; Paula Abagnale: female, to play late 40s-50s, Caucasian, Frank Sr.'s wife and Frank Jr.'s mother, born in France, disapproves of her husband and son's schemes, elegant, sensible, a realist, emotionally detached, must have a strong singing voice and move well, capable of a French accent; Roger Strong: male, to play late 40s-50s, Caucasian, Brenda's father, a district attorney, an upstanding man's man who wants the best for his wife and daughter, stern and powerful, but reasonable and likeable at the same time, strong singer; Carol Strong: female, to play 40s-50s, Caucasian, a New Orleans housewife, Brenda's mother and Roger's wife, when thinking that Frank Jr. is a doctor, lawyer, and Lutheran, she is highly ecstatic for her daughter's marriage, must have comedic chops and sing well; Branton: male, 20s-40s, any ethnicity, FBI agent, one of Carl Hanratty's right-hand men and part of his semblance of a family, featured roles throughout the entire show, strong comedic singer-actor who moves well, may cover Carl Hanratty; Cod: male, 20s-40s, African-American, FBI agent, one of Carl Hanratty's right-hand men and part of his semblance of a family, featured roles throughout the entire show, strong comedic singer-actor who moves well, may cover principal roles.
