Boudreaux: (Lead) Male, Caucasian,12, son of the gator wrestlers. Will’s best friend. A dirt-poor cajun kid. He’s a bit of comic relief in the drama, but still more than a 2-dimensional character. We need a young actor who can manage a difficult accent for this. That, or we’ll have to make a casting trip to Southern Louisiana. : ) Boudreaux is Will’s best friend and has been as far back as they can remember. He’s loyal to a fault, serving as a foil to Will’s selfishness. And he’s the only one of the kids who’s not an orphan. He’s a little crazy and unpredictable, and fearless. With the exception that he’s terrified of alligators. Very outdoorsy, not very educated, will be in scenes around alligators, fish & snakes, can walk like a crab on his hands backwards, scenes on a boat, must be a strong swimmer. Many scenes in the water. Swims with a dolphin. Can dive in the ocean. Must be able to hold your breath underwater for extended periods of time. Can climb a tree & go In a dark tunnel. Parkour experience would be helpful. Scenes on a boat, must be a strong swimmer. Many scenes in and around the ocean. Grabs a snake. Swims with a dolphin. Gets drenched in mud and rain. Lots of walking, running and swimming. Most of your shoot days you will be wet and dirty. Slides down a dark tunnel into a cave.
