River City Entertainment Announces 2013 Open Auditions

Boise theater group seeks actors with improv, acting, singing, or other talent.

River City Entertainment, a Boise-based interactive theater company, announces open auditions for its 2013 season. The group’s public performance schedule features Wild West shows, murder mysteries, improv comedy shows, and holiday entertainment. Most positions are paid. The company is also seeking individuals to do tech work.

Open auditions are scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 12:30-3:00 at the Heirloom Dance Studio in downtown Boise, located at 765 W. Idaho. Alternate audition dates and times available by appointment. The company is specifically seeking actors with improv skills. Actors are particularly needed with secondary talents such as singing, comedy, juggling, magic, or puppeteering. Must be 18 years of age and older.

Auditioners should prepare a brief act to showcase their talent, such as a one-to-two minute comic monologue, a song, a dance, or an improv sketch. Auditioners should be prepared to be put into improv situations. Please bring a current headshot or photo and a theatrical resume.
