"The Generations Project" through BYU- TV would like to feature children in an episode of The Generations Project. "We believe this episode has the potential to deeply move our audience as well as educate and inspire them."

The Generations Project takes people on a journey to learn about their ancestors and in the process hopefully find unexpected answers to questions about themselves. They travel to the places their ancestors called home, meeting with relatives and experts to uncover family mysteries and experience, hands-on, the lifestyle, culture, and history that made up their ancestors' lives. The participants learn that one of the best ways to know who they are is to learn whom they came from.

The first season of The Generations Project followed thirteen individuals as they traveled from the shores of Ireland to the deep American south to the isles of Hawaii and everywhere in between. One participant shed tears as she learned the story of her great grandmother who was exiled to a leper colony. A university professor found the strength to combat a serious illness as she walked in the shoes of her Irish ancestor. A young entrepreneur discovered a family legacy when he learned about his African American ancestors who defied the odds. We feel that lives were changed, mysteries solved, families connected and the thirteen participants discovered, a little better, who they really are.

Production is excited to offer this opportunity to any kids that fit the description of: outgoing, able to express feelings, fun personality, etc....

Understand that BYU Broadcasting is a non-profit organization and that your participation is voluntary and you will not be compensated for your time. However, all necessary expenses regarding the show including travel will be provided.
