This is a non-union web series that will shoot every Saturday starting on June 25th and ending sometime in late August to early September of 2011. | ||

Russell Braddock (late 20s): Russell is a straight laced Army Officer and something of a nerd, though a sharp sense of humor occasionally manifests itself. He operates as a strict father figure, contrasting with his “Almost-Wife” Kat’s more compassionate personality. Between the two of them, he is the more level headed.
Rachael Shore (late teens - early 20s): Rachael is the youngest in the group and feels a constant pressure to compensate for her age and any weakness she may possess. She acts tougher than she is in an effect to seem invulnerable, though she is actually quite sensitive. She is argumentative, stubborn, arrogant, and angry, though on occasion tends to be flirty, particularly when dealing with Cameron’s shyness ANDREW MALLORY (mid 30s - early 40s) - Episode 3 through 5: One of the three main antagonists, Andrew appears in three episodes of the first season of the series. Andrew is arguably the most disturbed of the antagonists as he has a fascination with torture and killing. He is prone to violent outbursts and has a certain talent with knives. After a run-in about a year back, Andrew has an obsessive vendetta with Russell and Kat (two of the main protagonists).
KANDACE ROBERTSON (20s) - Episode 5 only: Kandace appears in the fifth episode of Day Zero by means of flashback. She is a victim of physical and emotional abuse at the hands of the main antagonist of the series and is pregnant with his child. She shares a strong bond with Erica, a younger girl in their group of survivors and does what she can to protect her from the cruelty they live through. She is killed when she tries to escape from their group.
RYAN MARTIN (20s to 30s) - Episode 5 only: One of the three main antagonists, Ryan appears in one episode by means of flashback. Along with the other two antagonists, Ryan has an obsession with the idea of repopulating the earth, though his twitchy, nervous nature falsely implies that he is not as violent as the others. Russell kills Ryan after he shoots Kandace, a pregnant woman in their group of survivors, and tries to rape Kat.
ERICA JORDAN (early 20s) - Episode 3 (and 5 possibly): One of the trio of antagonists who is conflicted with her role between camaraderie by Andrew and Micah, and an inner integrity complex of her own. She has to deal with her own demons in her own way. She befriends one of the eight lead survivors (Landon Parker, the deaf teen, who is used for either good or evil purposes).
