CURRENTLY SEEKING:
Males, 16 - 22 years old, ALL ethnicities. Strong, technically trained dancers. Should also tap and sing well. Acrobatics/tumbling a plus.

Equity and Non-Equity will be seen. Please come ready to dance with sneakers, tap shoes and kneepads. Please also bring a photo and resume.

If you cannot attend, but would like to be considered, please send an email to: newsies.casting@gmail.com with the following information listed below:


  • A photo and resume
  • Your current email address and phone number
  • Your current physical address
  • A short three minute video.  Please make the video, upload it to YouTube, choose to make it either public
    or private, and include a link to it in the email.  The video should contain:
    • A one minute clip of you dancing and/or tumbling and/or tapping.  If you have not seen the dancing in Newsies, please check out some of the clips on our YouTube page.
    • A one minute clip of you singing "Carrying the Banner," sheet music for which can be found by clicking here.  Listen to the music by clicking here.
    • A one minute scene of dialogue from the show, which you can find by clicking here.
