Auditions for “Misery” at the Walnut Street
Theatre have been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at the theater, 114
W. Walnut St., Bolivar. Auditions originally were scheduled for Monday, Sept.
19.
“Misery” is a thriller written by Stephen King
and adapted for the stage by Simon Moore.
Popular romance novelist retires each winter to
Colorado to write another work featuring heroine Misery Chastain. Annie, his No.
1 fan, rescues him from a near-fatal car accident during a blizzard and insists
she will nurse him back to health in no time. Thus begins Paul Sheldon’s
nightmare.
Performances run for five consecutive days:
Friday, Nov. 18, thru Tuesday, Nov. 22. All performances start at 7:30 p.m.,
except for the Sunday performance that begins at 2 p.m.
Box office hours will be by appointment only.
