OutCast Theater announced auditions for its February production of “Tuesdays with Morrie,” a drama based on Mitch Albom’s best-selling book.

The play is written by Albom and Jeffrey Hatcher, and Penni Aufderheidi will direct the OutCast production.

The autobiographical play tells the story of Albom’s weekly visits to a former college professor dying from Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Auditions are set for 7-9 p.m. Jan. 12 at the First Baptist Church, 910 Shoshone St. N. in Twin Falls, and will consist of cold readings from the script. OutCast is looking for one man age 25-40 to play Mitch and an older man to play the elderly Morrie. If you can’t make the scheduled audition time or for information, call Aufderheidi at 731-1889.

The production is tentatively set for Feb. 16-18.

The Twin Falls-based theater company says its goal is to perform evocative theater while giving back to the Magic Valley. Proceeds from its productions have gone to the Family Readiness Group, the Crisis Center of the Magic Valley and Valley House.
