Casting Call for Feature-Length Film: "The Bullet." (Boise )


Clear as Mudd Films- is holding open auditions for the upcoming feature-length Drama- "The Bullet." About a comic book obsessed High School Senior, Kevin, who, with his two best friends Jennifer and Lewis and his new friend, outcast Tim Anderson...tires to navigate the school's Prom week, which is full of disaster. This coming-of-age drama deals with bullying, relationships, abuse, school violence and peer pressure.

Auditions will be held at the Boise Public Library 715 S Capitol Blvd, Boise, ID 83702, on Saturday, September 20th from 10:30am-4:30pm. These auditions are ran by appointment in 20 minute intervals, so please specify what time during that day you can come in to audition so I can sign you up. In order to be signed up, send me an email, text, call or Facebook message with your full name, preferably a headshot, the part(s) you wish to audition for (see character list below) and the time you can audition on the 20th. The Bullet- Character List

Kevin Shepherd- Male (16-25) Kevin is an average high school senior who is obsessed with comic books. He created his own superhero "The Bullet" and draws his own comics. He tends to be called a "hipster" and definitely has that look about him. He is a compassionate person and good friend. He is emotional, but laid back. Kevin's motivation is being someone that his peers will remember when he leaves high school. Kevin is bullied, but tends to shrug that pressure off.

Tim Anderson- Male (16-25) Tim is a loner. He is bullied by the other students, relentlessly. Tim is gay, but remains in the closet. No one knows his secret aside from his best and only friend, Kevin. Tim is emotional, angry and slightly violent. Hr has a "goth" or "emo/scene" look.

Jennifer Grey- Female (16-25) Jennifer is one of Kevin's best friends and is deeply in love with him. She is the student body president at the school and a straight A student. She is quiet and reserved, but strong willed and possess amazing inner beauty and compassion. She has a "nerd-sheik" appearance.

Derek Thomas- Male (16-25) Derek is the school's most talented athlete as well as its biggest bully. He gives most of the other students hell and doesn't let up. He is a violent and angry person as well as extremely narcissistic. Should have a "jock" look.

Carrie Hess- Female (16-25) Carrie is Jennifer's best friend. She is on the cheer leading squad at school. Carrie has a kind, nurturing personality...and the kind of person nobody could dislike. She is empathetic and sweet.

Gabe- Male (25+) Gabe is a "homeless" man that owns the comic book store. He acts as the comic relief and muse to Kevin Shepherd throughout the story. In the end he turns out to be his guardian angel.

Ashley Benedict- Female (16-25) Ashley is the captain of the cheer leading squad and the most popular girl in school. She has a frigid personality and is not really nice to people who aren't in her inner circle. , to those who are she shows a more flirtatious and carefree side of herself.

Carl Harbringer- Male (16-25) Carl is the best friend of Derek. He too is a very talented Athlete. But also one of the school bullies. He is very loyal to Derek and any enemy of Derek's is also an enemy of Carl's, and vice versa. Should have an athletic and slightly 'redneck' appearance and accent.

Steve Clemens- Male (16-25) Steve is the starting pitcher on the school's baseball team. He hangs out with the jocks, but does not participate in bullying. He is also the love interest of Tim. He should have a 'pretty boy' look.

Coach Danvers- Male (35+) Coach Danvers is the coach of the school's baseball team. He should be a bigger man. He has a mouth on him and doesn't treat the students or other teachers with much respect....his only care is winning.

Ms. Singletary Female (35+) Ms. Singletary is the School's principal. And she isn't a very good one. She doesn't listen to her struggling students. Especially Tim. She has a short fuse and isn't very pleasant to be around.


Nikki Mortenson- Female (16-25) Nikki is a cheer leader and one of Ashely's friends.

Susie Whitmore- Female (16-25) Susie is a cheer leader and one of Ashley's friends.

James Porter- Male (40+) James is the father of Lewis. He is a former serviceman with PTSD and a bit of an alcohol problem. He is abusive and negligent of his only son.

Karen Shepherd- Female (40+) Karen is Kevin's mother. She has raised her son alone, as her husband, Kevin's father was killed in Iraq in 2004. She has to hold 2 full time jobs to provide for her and her son. She has a kind, nurturing personality.

Tina- Tim's very conservative mother

Gary- Tim's dad.

Young Kevin- age 6-13

Young Lewis- age 6-13

Scuzz- The bassist in Adam's band. Stoner-type character.

Spliff- The Drummer in Adam's band. Stoner-type character.

Extras- all ages Our extras will be very important to the success of this film. There are many, multiple parts available for extras...most will get to play more than one character and be in multiple scenes. There are, cheer leaders, baseball players, various students in school scenes and the dance, fans at the baseball game. If cast as an extra you will be crucial part of making this film as good as it can be...so don't be discouraged.
