Mnet, a 24/7 U.S. English language network devoted to Asian pop culture, and allkpop.com, a source for all the latest K-pop gossip and news, are casting an new daily, two-hour K-pop TV series. Casting across the U.S.; shooting begins Fall 2011 in L.A.

Seeking—English-Speaking K-pop VJ: male or female, 18+, any ethnicity, no prior television experience is necessary, but candidates should be energetic, full of personality, and have an extensive knowledge of the world of K-pop. Note: The selected applicant will receive a contract from Mnet and will need to be available to film at Mnet's studios in Los Angeles.

In-person auditions will be held by invitation only Aug. 20 in L.A. To apply, upload an audition video to YouTube and send the link along with your name, age, address, and daytime telephone number ASAP to info@mnetamerica.com. Audition videos must be less than five minutes in length and must include: an introduction including name, age, and city the applicant resides in; reasons why the applicant would make a good VJ; applicant's favorite K-pop artists; a song and dance routine from applicant's favorite K-pop artist; and anything else that will make the applicant stand out. Submission deadline is Aug. 12. Selected applicants will be invited to an in-person audition in L.A. on Aug. 20 and five finalists will be selected. Allkpop.com will post the finalists' audition videos on allkpop.com for fans to vote for their favorite VJ. The final decision will be heavily influenced by the fans' votes.
