Bally's Hotel & Casino is casting Donn Arden's Jubilee!, a Las
Vegas stage spectacular with a cast of 85+ singers and dancers. Fluff LeCoque
& Diane Palm, company mgrs. Rehearsals begin Sept. 1, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV;
contract starts Oct. 1, 2011 at the Bally's Hotel & Casino Jubilee Theatre
in Las Vegas, NV.
Seeking—Male Dancers: strong lyrical jazz and ballet training required, well-toned bodies; Female Dancers and Showgirls: strong lyrical jazz and ballet training required, partial topless nudity required for showgirls; Singers: males with high baritone/tenor range and females with soprano range who are able to belt, must be able to move well, acting and dancing a plus. Note: All performers must be 18+; minimum height is 5'8" for all female dancers, singers, and showgirls and 6' for all male dancers and singers.
Los Angeles auditions will be held July 13 at 10:30 a.m. (male and female dancers and showgirls) & noon (male and female singers) at Debbie Reynolds Professional Rehearsal Studio, 6514 Lankershim Blvd., N. Hollywood, CA. NYC auditions will be held July 15 at 11 a.m. (male and female dancers and showgirls) & 2:30 p.m. (male and female singers) at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Ave. (btwn. 36th & 37th sts.), NYC. Chicago auditions will be held July 22 at 10 a.m. (male and female dancers and showgirls) & 11:30 a.m. (male and female singers) at Lou Conte Dance Studio, Hubard Street Dance Chicago, 1147 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL. Las Vegas auditions will be held July 24 at 10:30 a.m. (male dancers), noon (female dancers and showgirls) & 2 p.m. (male and female singers) at the Jubilee Theatre, Bally's Hotel & Casino, 3645 Las Vegas Blvd. S., Las Vegas, NV. Dancers will be given various combinations to perform. Wear dance attire; no baggy clothes. Female dancers and showgirls, wear a leotard or two-piece dance attire with beige tights or fishnets (no black tights); bring dance heels and jazz or ballet shoes, and wear your hair up. Singers, prepare two songs, including one uptempo classic Broadway tune and one ballad. An accompanist will be provided in L.A. & NYC only; bring CDs in Chicago & Las Vegas.
