AUNTIE GIN- In her 60s, warm and sharp, a smoker, nervously eccentric, effusive, but a woman of breeding, she is Charlie and Richard's aunt. The type to speak her mind, she irritates and alienates Evie who is clearly eager to see her gone...

PITTS- A high school football jock, with a crew cut, freckles and thick jaw, he is a smug, callous youth. Self-important and mean, he enjoying picking on India...

WHIP- Another high school boy, he is lean and good-looking, friends with the jocks, but "of a different breed. Middle Bend's answer to Steve McQueen..."

MRS. MCGARRICK- In her 50s, older and stout, she is the Stokers' housekeeper and cook, a stern, but well-meaning woman who takes her job seriously. With regard to India, her attitude is kindly and maternal. It is clear she cares about the girl and that she's used to her peculiarities...
