A character-based drama about friendship, redemption and personal freedom.  It tells the story of two apparently very different women from the same community.  Mari, a young single mother just out of prison, finds herself fighting for the custody of her daughter.  Penniless and alone, in desperate need for employment, she resigns herself to caring for Gloria, a lonely and difficult elderly widow.
