MPH Entertainment (prod.) is casting its new
reality TV pilot Nerd Girls.
Each episode will involve various "nerd girls"
attempting to complete tasks requiring their unique set of skills, in an effort
to develop solutions for real world problems and improve the quality of life,
our environment, etc.
Producers state: "We're beginning a nationwide
search for talented Female engineering and science students who defy stereotypes
and have a life beyond the books. Selected girls will become part of a
multimedia campaign to change the image of nerd girls worldwide and to prove
that 'Geek is Chic' and 'Brains are Beautiful'." Dr. Karen Panetta, creator.

Note: Applicants must be currently enrolled
in, accepted for enrollment to, or a recent graduate of an engineering, math, or
science accredited institution of higher learning. Producers state: "You'll get
the chance of a lifetime to use your engineering skills to solve real world
problems and to improve our quality of life and our environment. You'll be
featured as a member of the Nerd Girls team in public appearances and media
productions, help us create new pop culture role models who embody the talent
and diversity of nerd girls, and serve to encourage more girls and young women
to consider engineering and related studies as a career."

Submission deadline is July 5.
Submissions must include a completed Nerd
Girls application form; casting video submission agreement, signed and dated by
you; résumé (no more than two pages; should describe your educational background
and your extracurricular activities); unofficial transcript; a picture of you
being yourself; and a video of you being yourself. Finalists will be invited to
participate in Phase 2, which will include on-camera and in-person interviews
with media producers.
No fees or purchases required. Possible pay
provided.
