The Ziegfeld Theater announces open auditions for the international musical sensation, "Les Miserables,” running April 10th through May 16th. Directed by Rick Rea, music directed by Anne Puzey.

Guest artist J. Michael Bailey will be reprising the role of Jean Valjean after a critically acclaimed run with the Utah Shakespearean Festival.

All other roles are available! Colorblind casting - Actors of ALL races and skin color are HIGHLY encouraged to audition.

***Show is a volunteer opportunity, however gas stipends or transportation options available for actors traveling from 25+ miles south of Ogden (Bountiful, SLC, and beyond).***

Auditions (by appointment only) will be held starting at 6 PM on Thursday, January 1st and Friday, January 2nd. Invitation only callbacks will be held starting the afternoon of Saturday, January 3. Email rickrea@zigarts.com to schedule your audition; attach a resume and recent headshot if possible.

***If you are absolutely unavailable to audition on these dates, let us know as soon as possible so that we may arrange an alternate audition time for you, if possible. ***

For the audition, bring a printed copy of your resume and a headshot or recent picture. Prepare a 30-60 second selection from a Broadway musical in the style of the show. Sheet music is required; accompanist provided.

***Please no CD’s, mp3’s, or a cappella auditions. You are welcome to sing a selection from the show, but please bring a second, contrasting audition selection from a different musical (which we may or may not ask you to sing).***

Rehearsals will begin on February 6th, and will be held at the Ziegfeld Theater in Ogden. Until the week before opening week, there will usually be 4 weekday rehearsals and 1 weekend per week.

Here is the info for the show my friends are trying to produce


It is the first Latin American talk show filmed in Utah. It will have the same comedic appeal as Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel.

They are looking for about 20 extras to be apart of the studio audience. The audience needs to have diverse ages and looks. No one under the age of 21 and preferable Spanish speaking so they can understand the show.

It is all non paying but accreditation will be given in the end credits to all participants as well as to the craze agency if you would like.

Date: December 18th
Time: 6:30pm ( will be turned away if later than 6:45) - 11pm (will most likely wrap up sooner than that)
Location: The Moose Lounge 180 W 400 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84101
Dress: Business formal attire. Must come in hair and makeup
Role: Be given cues by production team on when to respond to certain things during the show (laughing, applauding etc.)
Instructions: Show up at 6:30 and sign up at the audience table. Instructions given from there out.
