CASTING CALL:

This call is for a short psychological thriller. We will be shooting two scenes adapted from a feature film script.

KATHRYN, Lead Female
Late 20s, vibrant, attractive. Kathryn is a psychology grad student who works at a mental institution.

DR. WALTER STROUD, Supporting Male
Late 40s-early 50s, large frame. Stroud has worked at the mental institution for many years, and has become a bit disengaged over the years, but is a good person at his core.

JOHNNY CASH, Supporting Male
Mid-30s, gentle but intense. Johnny is a patient at the institution. He speaks of a place that only he has been to, and he must get back to in order to complete his quest. The staff believes he is delusional; but is he?

Auditions will be held tomorrow sat. 7-13-13 , 1PM-4PM, at the Inspirada Community Center, 2000 Via Firenze, Henderson, NV 89044. There is no need to prepare any material. Just bring yourself. A headshot and an acting resume are preferred but not required.

I have multiple upcoming projects. Actors who do not meet the criteria above are welcome to attend and present a general audition. However, preference and priority will be given to those auditioning for one of the above roles.

What

We are producing some videos and still photography for a training program sponsored by the Department of Public Affairs. We are looking for a few actors in some speaking roles and several extras for the still photography portion.  These videos help Church leaders around the world learn technique and etiquette when interacting with members of the press and leaders of other faiths.

Daniel Torres, Stake President: Polynesian/Hispanic male, 60s, distinguished and successful looking, but kind, gentle, and genuine.  (We are also willing to consider any man of this age range of an ethnicity other than Caucasian who speaks perfect English.)

Nathan Anderson, Stake Public Affairs Council member: White male, 20s, a social media specialist, funny and somewhat distracted and quirky

Josiah Cohen, Rabbi: male, 50s, cultured, intelligent, very pressed for time.  He is more of a modern/Western rabbi who could be clean shaven and in a dark suit.  If he has a beard, it should be closely trimmed and neat.

BMG AUDITIONS: Monte Carlo headliners Blue Man Group is holding an open casting call for the role of the futuristic and interactive character Showbot next Wednesday, July 17. Showbot, described as part human and part robot, has a luminescent ponytail and a metal build and performs during the Procession daily at 6:15 p.m. (excluding dark days).

Auditions at the Monte Carlo’s Ballroom are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Criteria for tryouts: female who is 5’3” to 5’5”; small build and physically fit; and performer/dancer/actor with a good sense of rhythm and physical theater experience. More: BlueMan.com/casting.

The Publishing Services Department of the Church is creating media to support the Perpetual Education Fund. We are looking for the following…

·         FEMALE LEAD, mid to late 30s. Should look Guatemalan. Fluent in Spanish and English. Acting skills desired but not required. Active LDS.

·         MALE LEAD, early 30s. Should look Guatemalan. To play the younger brother of our Female lead. Fluent in Spanish and English. Acting skills desired but not required. Active LDS.

All roles are PAID provided the individual is active LDS and eligible to work in the United States. This project will shoot Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
