JAKE- Early Twenties, Caucasian, sales clerk at a local Vegas movie rental shop.
Believes that he is entitled to anything he wants, and finds working a minimum wage job beneath him. Typical rebellious young adult, trying to prove his worth.

NICK- Early Twenties, Caucasian, Jake's best friend. Nick is usually the voice of reason whenever Jake thinks about doing something stupid.

URIEL- Mid Twenties, African American, Angel, Dave's closest friend. In his own mind, he considers himself to be like an older brother to Dave, and goes out of his way to keep Dave out of trouble.

CAITLIN- Early Twenties, Caucasian, Demon, constantly tempting Jake. Tethered to Dave.

ANGELA- Late Teens, coworker of Jakes at the rental shop. She still
lives at home with her parents, and goes to college full time. Jake
secretly has a crush on her, but is too afraid to ever bring it up.

EMILY- Early Twenties, Angela's angel. She is always looking for the silver lining in situations. She is just a short ball of energy, and compassion. Emily and Dave met while Dave was watching over Jake. Emily is Dave's first real friend in Vegas.

DAVE- Late Twenties, Angel, has a heart of gold, but his happy go lucky attitude tends to make him out to be the black sheep of the angelic community. He is usually caught off guard and unprepared for any crisis. Dave's job is to look after Jake, but slowly finds himself falling into Jake's way of life.

SAG feature film casting (Carbondale)

We are a Los Angeles based production company, shooting an atmospheric character-driven ghost story called "Hide or Seek" in the Aspen area.

STORYLINE: After moving into a new home, a young newlywed couple (Emily and Tim) find themselves haunted by strange events and a horrifyingly familiar apparition - causing them to question their relationship, future, and safety. They decide to try to get to the bottom of what is causing their visions, and find a shocking twist waiting for them.

The role we are seeking to cast locally in CO is essentially a featured/photo double role, but it is vital to the project. Details:

Age 20-26. On-screen double for lead actress. MUST MATCH MEASUREMENTS/HEIGHT: 5'1''-5'3'' (no taller), 105-115lbs, brunette (long dark hair preferred), fair skin, size 2-4. Good screen time (no dialogue - playing a ghost). MUST BE ASPEN LOCAL HIRE. Do not submit if you do not live in Colorado. Works approximately 2-3 days. No nudity.

The actress will not be recognizable in the role, due the the nature of the ghost (she covers her hands with her face/hair). I understand that might not be the most desirable casting for an actress, so we will also offer the person we cast a SECOND role in the film (if they desire), as a student at a high school. This role does have lines.

We are shooting under the SAG ULB contract, so SAG actors would receive $100/day. Non-union would be $50-$100/day, depending on experience level. Additionally, meals, fun, and IMDB credit will be provided.

The College of Southern Nevada is casting "Violet," a musical. Philip Shelburne, dir.

Project description: "One of the most acclaimed off-Broadway shows of the Nineties with its powerful story and energetic, toe-tapping score. The musical is based upon the celebrated short story 'The Ulgiest Pilgrim' by Doris Betts and is set in 1964 during the early days of the Civil Rights Movement. It follows the growth and enlightenment of a bitter young woman accidentally disfigured and scarred by her father. In hopes that a TV evangelist can cure her, she embarks on a journey by bus from her sleepy North Carolina town to Oklahoma. Along the way, she meets a young black soldier who teaches her about beauty, love, courage and what it means to be an outsider. The musical boasts a dynamic gospel, rock, country, and rhythm and blues score by award-winning composer Jeanine Tesori. The powerful script and lyrics by Brian Crawley unflinchingly deal with the important, sensitive issues of the Deep South and the Sixties and features a strong ensemble cast with bravura roles for the two leads."

Rehearsals begin in February, and are expected to be Mon.-Fri. in the evenings; runs April 19-21 & 26-28 in the Nicholas J. Horn Theatre in Las Vegas, NV.

Seeking—Actors: males and females, children, teens and adults.

Auditions will be held January 28 & 29, 7 p.m. in the BackStage Theatre at CSN’s Cheyenne Campus, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave., Las Vegas, NV. Callbacks will be by invitation only on Feb. 4 & 5, 6:30 p.m. in the BackStage Theatre.

Prepare 32 bars of a Broadway musical, gospel, or a selection from "Violet." Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. A cappella auditions are highly discouraged.

Non-singers should prepare a contemporary dramatic monologue of no longer than 90-seconds. Non singers will perform simple vocal scales with the accompanist to determine range.
