The Empress Theatre is casting “BIG: The Musical,” based on the classic 1988 motion picture fantasy. Rebecca Walk. dir.; Chalese Craig, choreo.

Looking for a outgoing and responsible rep to assist with an upcoming product sampling in a popular hunting/outdoor store. The selected candidate must have experience in food preparation. Please see below for a list of responsibilities.

Product Demonstrator
- Arrive onsite and check-in with store's event coordinator (event coordinator's name and
number AND offsite client rep's name and number provided in advance / event
coordinator will contact the offsite backup no later than 30 minutes after the beginning of
the shift to activate them if necessary)
- Basic food preparation (heating up product, using a griddle, cutting up product, dividing
into sampling cups, etc.--client will provide explicit instructions for how to prepare food,
prior experience preferred)
- Direct customers to the location in the store where they can buy the product
- Basic brand messaging (client will provide suggested messaging and procedures for the
sampling)
- Wear clean and presentable/professional collared shirt and khakis
- Clean up materials and area after each day (client will provide outline of necessary
cleanup procedures)
- Email recap and 3-5 photos (cell phone ok) of the sampling table to client at the end of
each day (client will provide recap forms for reps to fill out--event coordinators will sign
event recaps as confirmation of hours worked)
- Be friendly, enthusiastic, courteous and professional. Rep must be comfortable working
in outdoor stores--ideal candidates will have an interest in the outdoors (as in camping,
fishing, hunting, boating, shooting)
- Reps will be responsible for cleanup and packing up materials to be shipped back to
client
- Must have previous experience cooking and be able to follow simple cooking instructions
- Greet and interact with attendees in an engaging and positive manner
- Interact with onsite store manager (collect, set up, and arrange all materials needed for
promo before the start of the shift and return after the end)

Smoke and Mirrors Theatre Company in conjunction with Absolute Dance Performing Arts Academy announce the inaugural presentation of the ART IN THE DARK Readers Theatre.

Dramatic literature and musical repertoire will be presented with scripts and scores in hand. Staged readings of published and unpublished works will be previewed for further discussion and production.

We are currently searching for talented dramatic artists with incredible reading and singing skills. They should strive for a career in voice work and can make a character come to life with subtle dexterity. Staged Readings do not require memorization, but rather, extreme familiarity.

The plot

The story is about a family of delightful free spirits, the Sycamores. They are a creative bunch who inspire others to go their own way in whatever might peak their interest, be it dance, creative writing, or the manufacturing of fire works. This bohemian bunch run head on into the biggest dilemma in family history. Their daughter, Alice, is in love with a young man whose family is the polar opposite, driven completely by money and status.  The story of their enlightenment is hilarious and heart warming..

DANCE:  Come ready to learn a dance combination.  Wear jazz shoes or sneakers.

Bring a non-returnable headshot and resume.

The only requirement to audition is you must be a High School Student and resident of Utah. The winner of the PYRAMID PRIZE will receive an all-expense-paid trip to NYC which includes: flight, hotel, food, tickets to four Broadway shows, back stage tour, head shots, and a five day intensive Broadway workshop taught by Broadway performers, directors, choreographers, agents, and casting directors. A trophy will be awarded and there will also be awards given to the 1st and 2nd alternates.

This event is kids focused.  Attendees can become certified elves by going through the “Elf Academy” and completing make and take projects.  Each attendee receives an elf certificate and plush toy.

 

DUTIES:

Registration Brand Ambassador:  General help throughout program.  This includes set-up, activation, and teardown.  Will focus on recruiting members of The Club.  BA's will able be inviting shoppers to participate in the program and handing out retail offers.

 

Craft/Activity Brand Ambassador:   General help throughout the program.  This includes set-up, activation, and teardown.  Will mainly be focused on assisting children with make and take crafts.

 

Overbook Model: You will be scheduled as an ON-SITE Overbook,  show up at call time, along with rest of the full-shift staffers. IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT YOU WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR 2 HOURS IN THE E-PLANNER, BUT YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE ENTIRE SHIFT. If all full shift staffers show up at call time, you will be dismissed immediately & paid for 2 hours. (You probably won't be on site more than minutes if you are not needed.) If someone is missing, you will assume their full shift & work the entire shift, and be paid for entire shift. Overbook models must be comfortable with both the Model and Misc. positions duties.
