2013 Lotte Lenya Competition

The Kurt Weill Foundation for Music is seeking talent for its 2013 Lotte Lenya Competition for singer-actors. Carolyn Weber, program dir.

Semifinals will be held March 15 & 16, 2013, in NYC; competition finals will be held April 13, 2013, in Rochester, NY.

Seeking—Singer-Actors: male and female, ages 19-32 (born after Dec. 31, 1980 and before Jan. 1, 1994), all ethnicities and nationalities.

To apply, contestants must submit a preliminary audition on DVD, adhering to repertoire guidelines. Submission deadline is Feb. 1, 2013. Emphasis is placed on wide-ranging theater repertoire and the acting of songs and arias within a dramatic context. Repertoire must include: two American musical theater songs (one pre-1968 and one from 1968 or later), one opera/operetta selection, and one theatrical selection by Kurt Weill. Those selected as semi-finalists will be invited to audition live in NYC.

The promotion I’m having is to launch our new Michael Jackson King of Pop slot machines. Redemption Zone Brand Ambassador Responsibilities: Stationed at the Redemption Zone. RZBA will give general help throughout program which may include distributing gift cards and recruiting members of The Club. RZBA will also help with the set-up and teardown of the event.

Overbook Model: You will be scheduled as an ON-SITE Overbook, show up at call time, along with rest of the full-shift staffers. IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT YOU WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR 2 HOURS IN THE E-PLANNER, BUT YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE ENTIRE SHIFT. If all full shift staffers show up at call time, you will be dismissed immediately & paid for 2 hours. (You probably won't be on site more than minutes if you are not needed.) If someone is missing, you will assume their full shift & work the entire shift, and be paid for entire shift. Overbook models must be comfortable with both the Model and Misc. positions duties.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

· All staff must pass a basic sex offender check.
