I am a student film director and I am seeking 6 actors for my next project. 3 females and 3 males. The film is about vampires. You will get more info if selected for the film. This film is going to be submitted to several film festivals so it's a good way to get your name out there. A local small film project is looking for a few good actors in Reno, Nv . We will be auditioning on Tuesday, September 25th from 5:30pm until 7:30pm, at 'The Studio on 4th'. The Studio on 4th is located at 432 E. 4th Street, Reno Nv 89503. All auditions will be cold readings from the script. We will be shooting three consecutive weekends starting September 28th. In addition to speaking roles we will be needing a few extras as well.

Synopsis:
Employees of a local steakhouse have very dark secrets, and are ambivalent to each others lawbreaking pastimes.

Parts available are:
Five males, 25 to 55
One female role mid 20's.

Character Bio's:
ALEX - mid 20's to 30's. He is a jackass of a businessman who loves himself more than anything else, he believes know one is as good as him, very out spoken. He works at a business firm where he has excelled at becoming one the best in his profession by doing what ever it takes to get to the top.

PETE -- mid 20's to 30's. Businessman that works with Alex, doesn't really like Alex but kisses his ass because he knows Alex will eventually be top dog. He competes a little with Alex but in the end is not all that confident.

JOHNNY -- mid 20's to 30's. Another businessman that works at the same firm as Alex and Pete. His is good friends with Pete and pretty much agrees with everything Pete says, also kisses Alex's ass but doesn't really like him. Not very confident either and is a follower.

MR. FREEDMAN -- mid 40's to 50's. The boss of all three businessmen, very confident and doesn't care about anything else but money and power, very low key. Loves Alex because he is a producer and that is all he cares about.

JANE - hostess at the restaurant, early 20's to mid 20's. Very beautiful and sexy, is actually a thief and uses the restaurant as a cover to pick out her next target. She works for a powerful man that has her steal from those he wants her to steal from, he also has her do other various jobs as well. She is very Sassy and full of piss and fire.

RESTAURANT MANAGER -- Early 30's to late 30's. Manager of restaurant is nice guy but gets pushed around by a lot people, the customers is always right in his eyes. Most of the staff does not respect him, he is a bit timid and low spoken.

We're an I48 team that's looking for talent to possibly act in a short horror themed film for this years H48!

I48 is a 48 hour film competition in which teams compete in making a movie from start to finish in 48 hours or less. We will be given several parameters to follow (A specific horror genre, a prop, a line of dialogue and a location from the Boise area) and must include all four in the finished film. The film must be written, shot, edited and completed in the 48-hour window. We competed in the first H48 last year and we won the Novice category at I48 last year for Best Film and Best Sound/Music as well.

Since we do not know the story or the specific genre yet (could be anything from Vampires to Slasher or anything in between) we cannot cast for specific roles. However, we would like to get a good cast lineup prior to the weekend of filming. We are looking for people between the ages of 18-35, both male and female that have some previous acting experience. This is a movie, so while theatrical acting is good experience, were looking for someone with an on-screen presence, not Shakespeare.

The dates you would need to be available are October 19th and 20th. We often times film through the night so be ready for some long hours. The competition is based on an all volunteer cast and crew so compensation must be limited to free food/drinks throughout the night as well as credit in the film.

The screening of these movies will be at Country Club Reel on Overland Rd on October 27 (time TBD).

Auditions for a Master’s Thesis Film: “The Funeral Detail”. The Auditions will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 9am to 5pm at the University of Utah.

 

Auditions are by appointment, but walk-ins will be accepted in the order they arrive. For those auditioning for Soldier roles, a section of the script will be provided. For those auditioning for other roles, prepared monologues are encouraged although cold readings will also be available. (Those from diverse backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply. We want the cast to be as diverse as the US Army.)
