American Girl Fashion Show Model Call Saturday, September 8, 2012 in Center Court.
The American Girl Fashion Show model call will be hosted in center court at the Boise Towne Square. Approximately 200 girls, sizes 6x and size 10 are wanted to showcase American Girl fashions at an exclusive event held in October to benefit Ballet Idaho.

Approximately 200 models will be chosen to wear historical and contemporary fashions provided by the American Girl Program

All models must fit one of the following criteria:
Girls should be either a size 6X (48” Height) or a size 10 (56” Height)

TIME:

• NOON – 2:00 PM (SIZE 10) AUDITIONS

Utah State University is holding open auditions for children ages 6-15 to be part of the cast for "The Miracle Worker." Auditions are Saturday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. in the Chase Fine Arts Center. Children will read from a scene and do a short improvisation activity with the director. The scene will be available from the Theater Arts Department office at the beginning of the week. Crews from TLC and the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) will be in Salt Lake City Sept. 14-16 to cast a new reality TV show involving two well-known Utah food companies.

In each episode, "outgoing, opinionated and creative consumers" will be given the chance, to help either Mrs. Fields Cookies or TCBY Frozen Yogurt, companies that have been struggling in the current economy, explained Scott Goldstein, casting director.

"The show is extremely positive and allows the average everyday customer a chance to work with and help reconfigure one of their favorite companies," he said in announcing the casting call.

Participants must at least 18 years old; be passionate about one of the Utah-based companies; and be creative enough to come up with ways to improve the brand. There is pay involved if chosen for the show.

Zions Bank is launching the second season of its online reality show "Cheapster," in which college students compete for cash prizes for themselves and their schools.

The bank is accepting video applications from Utah and Idaho students ages 18 to 26 through Sept. 14. To apply or watch webisodes from last season, go to www.cheapstertv.com.

Cheapster contestants are judged by the creative extremes to which they will go to solve a series of budgeting challenges presented by Zions and filmed by a video crew. The lowest-scoring participants will be eliminated at the end of each round in order to determine the winner.
