             Casting Notice for Web Series “Proper Manors”

The story centers on a group of teenagers and their families. Many supporting parts are still available as well as recurring roles.

Important Information:

“Proper Manors” is intended to be a 22-min. Weekly web soap opera. 

SAG New Media paperwork pending (100/day) – deferred for most roles

Many of the lead characters will be “on contract” meaning that, if cast, we must know what is going on with you.  The project (in essence a TV series for the web) will be shooting weekly – mostly on weekends  but there may be exceptions.

Every character has been developed to be a part of the tapestry in the town of Proper, USA.  Even the smallest roles can develop into front burner story lines and lead characters can be written out any time.  The show is intended for a mature audience and would probably be categorized as TV-M (Mature Audiences).

There is NO nudity nor will we be using the F-bomb, however there will be other profanity occasionally and adult situations.  The characters on the soap, much like the real world, are diverse – all ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations and political persuasions.  We will not modify characters based on actor's moral or religious input as the characters themselves “live” in a different world and everything, loosely based on reality, is fictional.  Of course, the characters will be evolving/developing and changing based on what they experience as a character living in Proper.  Any familiarity of any person living or dead is purely coincidental.

SEXY MAN FOR PHOTO SHOOT – Must be 21 years of age or older!  MUST be willing to do artistic photos, in a speedo/or the like for use in our Model Agency scenes where we see a portfolio.  Please send in shirtless photos for consideration for this role. 

 

GRANGE KNIGHTS - 40, Tall, Slender, Good ole boy, southern disposition, friendly, firm, like the ladies and loves his son. 

 

THORNE ROSE - late 50's, Caucasian, father to Trinity & Victoria Rose, married to Carolina Rose.  Hard working country boy & miner, loving father, loyal husband, doesn't trust the government, great with his hands when it comes to construction, gardening, or making anything more beautiful or practical.  Good looking with salt and pepper hair.  Imagine the Marlboro Man without the cigarette or cowboy hat. 

 

HOLLY/DOLLY OLDEN PHOTO DOUBLE – Need a female, 5’7” 125lb. Blonde

 

TAMMY DALTON  - Caucasian, blonde, 18-19 years old, petite, large busted, quiet religious girl with untapped wild side, raised by a single mother, high school graduate but not very educated, aspires to become a nurse and one day have her own husband and family. 

 

BONNIE BLACK - 17-18, Caucasian, tall dirty blonde hair, fashion model looks, incredibly popular, cheerleader, homecoming queen, student council officer, will begin a modeling career after graduation. 

 

DIRECTOR/PHOTOGRAPHER - male, 30-50 years old, masculine in appearance with feminine traits/mannerisms.  Well-spoken but is a bit of a diva on photo shoots. Firm with his crew but gentle with his photo subjects. Ability to manipulate others into doing what he thinks is best for them.

 

ITALIAN WOMAN - 30-50 years old, must be able to speak in an Italian accent, ability to speak Italian a plus. She has a firm/intellectual look that is also versatile (ranging from average looking to sexy).  She is Vedetta Sorrento’s left hand in her busing and personal dealings, possibly even related to her.

 

GOLDEN SPEEDO MODELS - Male, 18-30, well built, willing to be in a speedo for duration of scene.  Will be asked to remove shirt at audition.  Please send in shirtless pics for consideration.

“Marriage and Healing Mormon Message”
Cast Breakdown
Shoot Dates: ONE day between 20-25 of May

None of the cast will have any lines in this spot. Real Families and Extended Families are strongly encouraged to audition. This is a very ambitious, dramatic, short-film style video for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ “Mormon Messages” campaign. The “Mormon Messages” campaign has received a combined 35,539,517 views to date on YouTube. This particular spot will be a powerful message about strengthening marriages and the Producers strongly encourage talent with strong feelings about strengthening marriage to audition. The pay is very low. Although you are not required to be a member of the LDS Church, all performers will be required to maintain the Independent Contractor Standards provided at the end of this breakdown. Featured Lead – JOHN (late 20’s/early 30’s): Caring husband and loving father of one son, John is featured recovering from a traumatic and sudden car accident that almost took his life. He is also featured a couple years later with his wife, who is then pregnant with their second child. He believes marriage is a permanent and precious relationship, which provides a safe and secure environment for children to be loved and cared for, among other things. Real mother/father/son pair encouraged.

Featured Lead – SAMMY (late 20’s/early 30’s): Caring wife and loving mother of one son, Sammy is featured at the bedside of her potentially dying husband, John, who is recovering from a traumatic and sudden car accident that almost took his life. Sammy is also featured a couple years later with John, pregnant with their second child. Sammy believes marriage is a permanent and precious relationship, which provides a safe and secure environment for children to be loved and cared for, among other things. She will be required to give an Academy-Award winning, deeply emotional response when John wakes from being unconscious. Real mother/son pair encouraged.
