Salt Lake County Youth Theatre will be holding auditions "Rockin' till the world ends" Saturday, April 14 from 9-11:00 am, and Monday, April 16 from 6-8:30 pm at Copperview Recreation Center 8446 South Harrison Street, Midvale. Ages 7-18 are welcome to audition. Please come prepared to sing a 16 bar up-beat song, learn a dance, and to possibly read rom the script. Performance dates are June 13-15, 2012 at Wheeler Historic Farm Ampitheatre.

The Cottonwood Heights Arts Council summer theater is back and they are holding auditions for their upcoming summer musical, Rogers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Enchanted Edition).

Auditions will be held
Thursday, May 3rd from 6-9PM and Saturday, May 5th from 9:00AM – 12:00PM at The Cottonwood Heights City Offices at 1265 E. Fort Union Blvd. in the training room on the 1st floor.

Auditions are open to ages 8* and up.
We are excited to cast all principal roles, principal dancers, along with a great ensemble of all ages. There are roles for a variety of age ranges and interests.
Adults with ballroom dance experience a plus!

Please have 16 bars of a musical selection prepared and be prepared to do a short reading. An ipod/cd player will be provided. A piano will NOT be available. Short reading scripts will be provided.

Rehearsals will begin May 29th and run through July.
Performance dates are July 26th, 27th, 28th (evening and matinee) and 30th.

May 12 - 13 -- Boise Parks & Recreation and Boise Little Theater hold auditions for the 13th annual Youth Summer Production, "Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka Junior". This production is directed by Autumn Kersey, with Musical Direction by Becky Turner Duggan and Choreography by Clay Lee.
Auditions open to young actors, singers and dancers ages 10 - 18, by appointment only. Please register via their website for an audition. There is no cost to audition, however, if you are cast you will be asked to pay a $20 fee which is applied toward a show t-shirt, cast party and administrative expenses.
Anyone interested in auditioning must prepare a 2-minute song (preferably from a musical) that may be sung acapella, with an accompaniment/karaoke CD, or you may bring an accompanist. Please note, we will provide a CD and MP3 (ipod) player and an electric key board. We do not have access to a full piano.
All auditioners will be taught a short movement piece. Dress comfortably in clothes that you can move, bend, stretch, and roll on the floor in. Shoes should tie, velcro, or otherwise stay on your feet. No slip-ons, sandals, or flip flops, please. Auditions are held in groups of 10 and take approximately 1.5 hours. Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby of Fort Boise Community Center but auditions (like rehearsals) are closed.

Phil, an average nice guy, is madly in love with the beautiful Sophia. The only problem is that she’s unaware of his existence. He tries to introduce himself but she looks right through him. When Phil discovers Sophia has a glass eye, he thinks that might be the problem, but soon realizes that she really can’t see him. Perhaps he is caught in a philosophical hyperspace or dualistic reality or perhaps beautiful women are just unaware of nice guys. Armed only with a B.A. in philosophy, Phil sets out to prove his existence and win Sophia’s heart.
