Casting Notice for Web Series “Proper Manors”
Seeking actors for a new Web Soap created by Pietro D’Alessio. The story centers on a group of teenagers and their families. Many supporting parts are still available as well as recurring roles. This is a character breakdown for many roles for the soap opera. ALL will work in EPISODE 1 at least. We will begin casting focusing initially on the lead and supporting roles and anticipate bi-weekly casting sessions until complete.
Important Information:
“Proper Manors” is intended to be a 22-min. Weekly web soap opera.

Many of the lead characters will be “on contract” meaning that, if cast, we must know what is going on with you. The project (in essence a TV series for the web) will be shooting weekly – mostly on weekends but there may be exceptions.
Every character has been developed to be a part of the tapestry in the town of Proper, USA. Even the smallest roles can develop into front burner story lines and lead characters can be written out any time. The show is intended for a mature audience and would probably be categorized as TV-M (Mature Audiences).
There is NO nudity nor will we be using the F-bomb, however there will be other profanity occasionally and adult situations. The characters on the soap, much like the real world, are diverse – all ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations and political persuasions. We will not modify characters based on actor's moral or religious input as the characters themselves “live” in a different world and everything, loosely based on reality, is fictional. Of course, the characters will be evolving/developing and changing based on what they experience as a character living in Proper. Any familiarity of any person living or dead is purely coincidental.
SUPPORTING/RECURRING ROLES:
(1)DR. DOUGLASS SUMMERFIELD (Recurring) – 48, Professional Doctor, African-American. Laid back, submissive with wife and kids, yet quietly in control. Possible drinking/gambling issues..
(2)HILLARY CAMPBELL (Supporting) – 16/17, oldest of three daughters, perfect student, sarcastic wit, intellectually advanced to the point where many adults are easily intimidated by her. Other adults are drawn to her as an inspiration. (Monologue/Improv audition)
(2)GRACE CAMPBELL (Supporting) – 15/16, middle of three daughters, flirtatious, fit, and always seeking an adventure and a more interesting/mysterious or experienced man. She can’t be bothered with boys who seem to only want to do what the average teen boy does. She sees a future filled with travel. (Monologue/Improv audition)
(2)SARAH CAMPBELL (Recurring) – 13/14, youngest of three daughters, spoiled, lazy, goofy sense of humor, has a strong compass about what is right/wrong and there is no middle ground. Quick to love and quick to get angry, she is much tougher than anyone realizes. She loves her family, her parents and animals. Would spend all day cooking and watching TV is she could in the future. She is very intelligent and well-liked yet not as ambitious as he older sisters are to change the world. (Monologue/Improv audition)
(1)ARIA MORENA CAMPBELL (Supporting) – 36, former housekeeper turned paraprofessional, Mexican activist, highly involved in her children’s lives, always busy and on the go, works hard to protect her children. Loves to escape with cinema, a gourmet meal or someplace filled with beauty. (Monologue-we may have some sides available)
(2)MARIE SORRENTO (Supporting) – 15-17, blonde, attractive, spoiled drama queen, feels entitled to what others have, has a self-inflated sense of entitlement due to her upbringing. Really is quite funny and endearing yet can’t sometimes see the truth due to the alternate worlds of reality she creates with the assistance and reassurance of her mom. (Monologue/Improv audition)

(2)ZACK TEAVER – Male, 16-18 caucasisan, blonde, blue eyes, fit, attractive, pretty boy look, confident, mischievous, productive, intelligent, bit of a partier, loyal to friends and older brother. Popular, loves women. (Monologue/Improv)
(2)SIMON EVERS - 17-18, Dirty Blonde/Light brown - slight soccer/metal look - average guy (Monologue)
(2)ROCK MARSHALL - 18-19 - Brown/Dirty Blonde/Tan/Average to Good shape - not real bright, stoner, takes a few moments to understand what's going on - very 1970's feel (Monologue/Improv)
(2)CHARLOTTE TUCKER - 17-19 - average looking, average height to tall, thin - sickly but still appears healthy, big smile, freckles , exudes nice girl (Monologue)

(2)MICHELLE TOMLIN - 17-19 Tan, Dark brown/black hair, brown eyes, super intelligent, loves older boys/country boys and her friends, doesn't take any BS, tough - loves to gossip but don't cross her friends. (Monologue)
(2)ATHENA THEOPOLIS - 17-19 Quiet and unassuming, a classic royal beauty, Greek descent, intelligent, peaceful, a smile that can calm and light up a room. (Monologue)
(2)RUSS WILSON - 17-19 - shorter, old money, brown hair, latest fashions, skater/surfer/stoner - the nicest guy that everyone loves. Trying to find his place in the world. (Monologue/Improv)
(2)BILLY FRANKLIN - 17-19 - Big build, quiet, troubled, loyal, honest and protective, makes mistakes but has a huge heart and will always be there for his friends - new kid in town (even 7 years in) trying to make connections that matter, very competitive, working class parents (Monologue/Improv)
(2)MARTIN ROUX - 16-19 - The eclectic Boy George/Morrisey wannabe - long flowing hair, mascara, sexually ambiguous and confident - understands and loves the misfits and makes them all his own family. Monologue)
(2)SEBASTIAN STEWART - 16-18 - The all American surfer/skater that EVERYONE loves - doesn't have an enemy or a detractor. Gorgeous blonde flowing slightly curly hair and blue eyes. sometime stoner, always a lover, honest, loves and accepts everyone. Good looking, tan (Monologue/Improv)
(2)HOPE ROGERS - 16-18 - Petite brunette with dark eyes and an amazing smile. Has just enough redneck in her to put any man (or woman) in their proper place. (Monologue)
(2)FAITH SANDERS - 15-18 - Brunette, average to slightly full-figured, infectious laugh, the go to when there is a crisis who always has an answer even if it's not within the rules, dark eyes, million dollar smile - can go from punk to honor student in no time at all. (Monologue)

(2)REESE POLK – Female, 28-36 no younger, Caucasian brunette, single mom, travel agent/ accountant. Super responsible with money. Very productive. Leads a double life of secrets, loves to drink and have fun. Wicked sense of humor. Grew up wealthy.
(2)NADIA POLK- female, 13-16 caucasion, mixed, or India darker tone to skin, brunette closer to black hair. Student, spoiled, sensitive, religious, but accepting of all types. Intelligent, speaks her mind. Great smile.
(1)CHRIS WARNELL – male, early to mid 20’s Caucasian, dirty blonde hair, fair skin, he is more gossipy then the average guy, discovering others secrets and desires. Average shape. Typical southern guy, no accent. Just in mannerisms and the way he relates to people. Harbors his own secrets and insecurities. Not always trust worthy. Loyal to friends in cycles, has a new best friend every couple years.
(1)ALAN BRAND - male, late 20’s Caucasian, balding or shaved head, former football player build. Grew up military, loyal friend and husband. Quick to anger and forgive. Great with his hands and construction and other projects. Always tries to be fair and gives people the benefit of the doubt.
(2)DONNIE KNIGHTS male, 17- 18 years old, Caucasian, blonde, out flaiming and proud gay boy. Very into Into pride, known to expeiriment with drugs and alcohol, super loyal to friends and family. Ambitious and focused, works hard, plays harder.
(2)NEIL HINES – Male Caucasian, 15-17 tall, thin, dancer, brave controversial dancer in A small conservative town, all other female dancers love him, polite, attractive sensitive quiet. Only opens up to a select few.
(2)LETICIA – female, 17-18 caucasian, Brunette, brown eyes, cheerleader/ dancer. Country girl, popular but not condecending of titles, kind.
(2)LOUIS RICARDO – Male, Latino, 18-20 tall, thin, loves soccer, loves to party, kind to everyone, doesn’t judge others, people may be afraid of him, but he is a gentle soul. Very sarcastic, great sense of humor, self involved and confident but not in a condicending or self deprecating manner.
(2)SHELLY BALDUCCHI – female, 16-21 proud, out, tough, lesbian. Likes to party, tends to be more butch then feminine, beautiful full figured, woman hidden under not so flattering clothes.
(2)The DJ – Male, Early 20's-Mid 30's, very stylish/trendy, big city feel, art comes first, loves to entertain, more of a club/party kind of mixer and less concerned with a career, just wants to party and have fun.
