The Carson City Senior Citizens Center will be holding open auditions for the 2012 Senior Follies production of “Those Delightful Decades.” This production will be co-directed by Norma Conway and Carla Wilson.

This annual production is a fundraiser for the senior meals programs here in Carson City. If you are age 35 or older and would like to be a part of this wonderful fundraising project we would love to have you share your talents with us. It is a variety show consisting of musical and comedy acts ranging from the 1920’s through today.

Auditions will be held at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center Main Dining Room on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. The Carson City Senior Citizen Center is located at 901 Beverly Drive in Carson City.

Those auditioning are asked to come prepared to sing a song with your own accompaniment CD, to perform a portion of your act/skit, or to do some easy dance steps. Performances will be held at the Carson City Community Center, Bob Boldrick Theater, on July 13th, 14th, and 15th. Rehearsals will be held at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center on Monday and Tuesday evening’s beginning in March.

Both are nice roles for the production "It Is Well With My Soul".

There is pay involved.

The story is as follows: In 1967, Joni was 17 years old with her whole life ahead of her. That was cut short when diving into the Chesapeake Bay she broke her neck. With Joni’s permission and endorsement, this play is an original piece based on her story. It chronicles her life from tragedy to triumph where she rose from despair to become an amazing artist and painter, write over 25 books and start many ministries and programs to minister and help those with disabilities of all kinds. She has also become the longest living quadriplegic on record.

The paid amount depends on role given.

All roles will receive a professionally shot DVD and a photo CD and 10 comp tickets.

Rehearsals are M, T, TH, F nights 7:00-10:00 and Sat morns 9:00-Noon. Only leads will have to be there every rehearsal Performances are Mar 23-Apr 2 at 7:00.

WYOMING AUDITIONS!!!!

Casting call this Sunday for a feature film to be shot in Wyoming.   K. Harrison Sweeney, Wyoming native and U-W grad,  is returning to produce “From the Trailer to the Grave”. Auditions will be held Sunday at the Wagon Wheel Roller Rink in Mills,

“We’re auditioning for-you can call them extras- zombies. Some people will be people who turn into zombies. Some will just be people, extras for the film. And we’re looking for anybody. People from all walks of life.”

Spokesperson Beth Andruss says they’re hoping for a good mix to help fill out the principle cast, which is all connected in some way to the video game, Red Dead Redemption. The Wagon Wheel is located at 305 Van Horn Ave where they’ll hold a workshop on “Zombie Behavior & Movement” from 10 to 10:30 Sunday morning. Auditions follow from 10:30 to noon
