Project Title: Book of Wishes
A Mirror Films Independent Feature Film Production

Director Christian Vuissa (Silent Night, The Letter Writer, One Good Man, The Errand of Angels,
Baptists at Our Barbecue) is casting for his new feature film Book of Wishes. Production will be
from March 16 to April 4, 2015, in the Provo/SLC area. Pay according to role and experience.
This will be a Ultra Low SAG production. Book of Wishes will have a limited theatrical release
and will be available on DVD, Netflix, and TV/cable.

Synopsis:
Sarah Walters is a trendy young woman in her twenties who lives in Los Angeles and writes for
a popular health blog. When her boyfriend Mark proposes to her, she is forced to introduce him
to her overly religious parents in rural Idaho. During a Thanksgiving visit, her new world clashes
with her past. Daily prayer and scripture study, blessings on the food, as well as extensive talk
of God, make her clearly uncomfortable. While going through old keepsakes, she finds a little
book of wishes she kept as a little girl and slowly realizes that all of her wishes came true. In the
process, Sarah rediscovers the faith of her inner child and reconnects with her past. Until she
reaches the last entry in her little book and is suddenly faced with a painful memory. Can she
make peace with a tragic event buried in the past and realize her full identity by letting God back
into her life?

COURTHOUSE CRISIS SCENARIO
Suspect 1 - $300
MALE. Age 20 – 30. Any ethnicity. Role is a suspect that has entered a courthouse with a gun intent to do harm. Some dialog and physical acting required. (i.e. falls as if pretending to be shot)
Deputy/Baliff #2 - $250
MALE. Age 25 – 50. Any ethnicity. Role is you’re on duty in a courthouse when a call for armed men with guns goes out and you have to respond to a situation. Some dialog required.
Suspect #2 - $300
MALE. Age 25 – 35. Any ethnicity. Role is you’re a suspect who got into a courtroom with a gun and who is now holding the judge hostage and willing to hurt people. Some dialog and physical acting required.
Suspect #3 - $300
MALE. Age 25 – 35. Any ethnicity. Role is you’re a suspect who is willing to harm people, that has made his way to a courtroom cafeteria with a weapon and who has taken a hostage and now has to negotiate with deputy’s on scene. Some dialog and physical acting required.

PATERNITY PANIC SCENARIO

MALE. Age 18 - 40. Any ethnicity. Role is you’re a father who just learned through a paternity case that your child is not yours. You become distraught/suicidal and begin threatening to drop an infant child over a bannister rail while having an argument with your estranged wife.
Estranged Wife - $150
FEMALE. Age 18 - 40. Any ethnicity. Role is you just got out of a paternity hearing where your husband learned your child is not his. Outside the courtroom husband has the child and is threating to jump/drop baby after learning the news.

We are seeking upbeat, outgoing and charismatic people who are available January
23-27th to carry out fun and dynamic “stunts”. Actors will be provided roles and
costumes to portray iconic characters from documentary films. You must be
comfortable with improvisation, engaging onlookers and working with props.
We are looking for both male and female actors who are 18+ and are available
from Friday, January 23rd through Tuesday, January 27th for 2 hours a day on at
least one of those days.
You will be asked to take on the role in order to attract and engage festival goers.
Ballet experience, mad air guitar skills, ability to ride a bike, camera skills and
comfort with impersonations are all a BIG plus!

Timing: Friday, January 23rd through Tuesday, January 27th
Daily for 2 hours in the afternoon.

Auditions for the 2015 University of Idaho Theatre Arts spring season, featuring "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Be," a musical comedy directed by Chris Will, and "Cymbeline" by William Shakespeare and directed by Matt Foss, will be held 1-5 p.m. this Saturday in the Hartung Theater located at 624 Stadium Drive.
