Summertime Entertainment is seeking submissions for its "Dorothy of Oz Facebook Video and Voiceover Cameo Contest," in which contestants enter for a chance to win a cameo voiceover role in the new 3D CG animated musical feature film Dorothy of Oz. The film stars Lea Michele, Hugh Dancy, Megan Hilty, Jim Belushi, Martin Short, Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer, Oliver Platt, and Patrick Stewart, and features new music by Bryan Adams. Auditions for PTC’s production of Emma by Jon Jory (and based on the novel by Jane Austen).

Audition slots from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for Actors’ Equity members only. Audition slots from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. are open to all auditioners. The audition slots are limited to five minutes.

Non-AEA auditioners must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre; that sign-up will be posted at noon on Thursday, October 27. All auditioners will be asked to read from the script. Sides from the play will be available when auditioners sign-up. Auditions will be held in Room 245 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. A photo and resume are recommended.

 I have an upcoming shoot in SLC for a party atmosphere around a grand piano.  
  I'll need four adults, male / female, age 30-45. WE NEED ALL RACES!! We'll shoot 1/2 day, afternoon on 21 October. 

I also will probably need a school music director looking person, similar age, ethnic or not on Saturday, 22 October for 1/2 day at Judge High School. I may need a second for the afternoon.
Since the age group is similar I could pick the music director from the same group (but they must tell me they are available 22 Oct. This is a UEA weekend. So please alert them.

We need Black kids for 22 Oct. (We don't know the exact rate yet)

For the adults we have a budget of $300 each.They will probably only be on camera for a couple hours, but additional time will be for makeup and wait time. We will probably rotate them, but only 1-2 will end up dominate in the final photo. The other 2-3 will be in the background. I'd imagine we'd start around 1:30-2:00 on Friday, 21 October.

ST. GEORGE - Auditions are offered for the second annual Dixie's Got Talent, a regionwide musical celebration highlighting the talents of Washington County residents and Dixie State College students.

Auditions are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 4 and 5 at the Eccles Concert Hall, 100 S. 700 East, on the Dixie State College campus. Vocalists, small groups, private bands, instrumentalists and all musicians are encouraged to audition. Separate classifications for competition include: juniors (up to 14), young adults (15 to 25), and adults/seniors (26 and older). Musicians may perform a cappella, with an accompaniment CD, their own accompaniment or provide a pianist to accompany them.

A panel of judges will determine winning contestants in each category.

Applications are available at all Village Bank locations or online at dixies gottalent.blogspot.com. Completed applications should be mailed along with the $10 application fee to Dixie's Got Talent, c/o The Village Bank, 294 E. Tabernacle St., St. George, Utah 84770, or dropped off at any Village Bank.

The auditions are open to the public.

Selected contestants will then perform before the judging panel and a audience at the Cox Performing Arts Center on Jan. 24. Two finalists in each category will be chosen to compete the following night for grand prize honors.

On the finale night of Dixie's Got Talent, Jan. 25, the six finalists will compete for top honors and major gifts from sponsors. One grand winner will be selected in each age category.
