Seeking—Danni: female, late 30s, African-American, caramel colored, petite, intelligent, discreet, with long hair and a big smile, she is very well off with a beautiful Manhattan apartment, and travels around the world, but she has no love life and feels dead inside, she is educated, cultured but she hasn't smiled since she was 7; Michelle: female, late 30s, mixed race (African-American and Caucasian), light skin, with light brown hair, and green eyes, has been abused her whole life and has the battle scars and hard look to prove it, she is living in a dive and is dirt poor; Danni's Mother: female, late 60s, a Southern belle from Texas, had trouble getting someone to marry her because she had two children out of wedlock, never had very much, and things have become more important than anything else, she is very attractive and in great shape for her age, appearances are her life; Michelle's Mother: female, late 40s, attractive, green/blue eyes, a former prostitute who meets Michelle's father through her profession, he falls in love with her and they marry having Michelle soon after, she is a former runaway who lived on the street and learned early how to survive by selling herself.

Auditions for the play White People

TheatreWorks of Northern Nevada will hold auditions for the play White People, opening Oct. 14 and playing through Oct. 23 at the Salvagery. Please prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue. Looking for male late 40s-50s to play Martin, a high-powered attorney; female late 30s-early 40s to play Mara Lynn, a housewife and former homecoming queen from North Carolina; and a male mid-20s to early 30s to play Alan, a young professor struggling to find his way in New York City.

When: F, 9/2, 6-8pm

Short film "Jesus Tree," a story about two different guys who see Jesus in inanimate objects. 

Agro - A shorter man who looks to be in his early to mid 30's.  Regular build.  An angry/intense look is a plus.

Jeremy - A man with average height with skinny to regular build and looks to be in his 20's.  A mustache is a plus.

Both parts have equal screen time and lines.  The script is roughly three pages and can be filmed in an afternoon/evening easily.  This will be a fun project and something that will look great in your reel.
