We have a client that is going to be in need of some Extras for a new Corporate Video they will be shooting.

Auditions for feature titled, "The Mill."
 
This feature will be a Pilot in hopes that it will be picked up and made into a TV series with BYU-TV. With that said, they are looking for local Utah Actors only. They are also looking for Actors that plan to be in Utah for a while, so if the project is made into a series they can reprise their roles.
 
Auditions for Craze Agency Talent will be held on Monday, May 16 from 4:00pm- 5:00pm in Lindon, Utah.
 
They are planning to shoot the Feature/Pilot from May 31- June 14, 2011
 

About the Story:

James Reed is quite content with his fast-paced life in the city. But after receiving news about his father’s health, he reluctantly returns home to help with the family business: Reed Mill Bed & Breakfast. There he faces menial work he does not miss, and a brother he does not get along with. Though he is eager to leave as soon as he can, he learns the bed & breakfast is struggling. A competitor is circling like a vulture to buy them out. While James is all for a buyout, his family is against it. As tensions rise between him and his brother, and as their father’s health deteriorates, James eventually must discover that sometimes you make sacrifices for the ones you love.

About Casting:

Below are five roles they are holding auditions for. From those auditions and callbacks, they will cast the remaining roles in the film—please note the role you audition for may be different than what you read for in callbacks, etc.

Role descriptions:

Paige: 25-29 yrs old, Caucasian. Paige works at the Bed & Breakfast, the only non-family working there. She is a hard worker, and sacrifices for her mother (who is habitually drunk). She’s low- maintenance in personality, but pretty enough in a way that suggests vanity is not her flaw. She likes James, though is not obvious about it. Pay is $200/day

Tom: 25-29 years old, Caucasian. Tom is James’ brother, and often resents him for leaving the bed & breakfast. Tom takes any opportunity to voice his bitterness to James, and we learn that his grudge also comes from liking the same girl as James—a history that might repeat itself with Paige. Pay is $200/day

Barbara: 50s. Caucasian. Barbara is James’ and Tom’s mother. She keeps the boys in line, and runs the bed & breakfast. She’s warm but ready to put her foot down when necessary. Pay is $200/day

Henry: 50s. Caucasian. Henry is James’ and Tom’s father. He tends to take a backseat to his wife’s lead, but is compassionate and genuine in a way that gets his sons attention. He has a stroke in the beginning of the film, which sets the story in motion. Pay is $200/day

Lindsay: 16-18 years old. Caucasian. James’ younger sister. With all the contention between her brothers, Lindsay is mild and often in the background, not making additional waves. She’s cheerful and bright, and supportive of James, partially because she does not see him very often. Pay is $150/day

Details:

A short film about a Father and Son who go on a hunting trip to try to bond with one another, but in the midst of all this they encounter a deviant stranger.

They will have sides at the audition but will request a memorized Monologue in addition.

Character Descriptions:

Father - 45-50 years old, white Male tall and medium body type.  The Father is trying to connect with his son on a hunting trip. The Father is a very quite and reserved person. Pay will be $75 per day.

Jason – 12-14 years old, white average body type. Jason is in his early teen’s is trying to find himself by connecting with his father on a hunting trip. He is a very shy and quite young man. Pay will be $75 per day.

Stranger – 27-35 years old, white with an average body built. He is a sick man willing to do anything to get what he wants. He is very over powering and very persuasive person. Pay will be $75 per day.

Production:

3 day shoot at the beginning of June. Exact dates are yet to be determined.

Middle-Aged Male and Female needed for local PSA Commercial, UTAH

A Utah county organization is seeking actors for a Public Service Announcement about Pornography.

They are looking for a middle aged Man and Woman who look like they could be the parents of a 16 year old red head girl.

The synopsis of the video is a Teen girl getting ready for prom. The actors they are looking for would play the roles of the girls Mother and Father who send her off for her big day. There are no speaking parts as the entire piece will be voice over work.

They would need the actors to be available Saturday, May 14, from 8pm to 12 am. The location will be in Utah County.

This will be an unpaid opportunity. However, their goal is to make this video, along with others in their campaign, go viral on the internet.
This will be a great for exposure.

In addition you will be contributing to a cause that will strengthen individuals and families in our communities.

How getting paid works on jobs you book

How Getting Paid Works: We have one of the best commission structures for any PURE Agency in the United States. You must pay your commission within one week of receipt of pay if they pay you directly.  If they pay Craze directly, we will pay you within one week of receipt, minus our commission.

Commission for extra work (under $100 per day) is 10% of the Gross pay (the highest amount), featured extras ($100.00 or over per day) you must pay 15% of the Gross pay.  A commission of 15% of the Gross pay is due for everything else. Including film, TV, commercials, modeling, tradeshows, voice-overs, residuals, etc.

Clients usually take up to 30-90 days to pay, but occasionally it could take longer. It always depends on the project and who the client is. We will assist you in getting paid as soon as possible. We all want to get paid! We have found that most clients will pay within 30-60 days!

The Craze Agency is not held liable if a client does not pay, but we will do everything in our power, including hiring a collection agency and attorney if needed.

STORY LINE: Jim Caldwell, a wealthy Alabama rancher, has never forgiven his wife NAOMI for running off on him and their four kids twenty years ago and marrying a wealthy Londoner, Kingsley Bedford. However, with Naomi passing away from cancer and wanting to be buried in her native Alabama, an initially awkward meeting ensues between the Caldwells and the Bedfords who have come from London to small town Alabama for Naomi's funeral. However, with both families struggling--sometimes hilariously, sometimes tragically--with various issues of love, trust and the apparently insurmountable generation gap(s), they soon discover they have more in common than they think...
 
CHARACTERS
 
ALAN- 18 yrs old, CAUCASIAN--This straight-laced looking kid is Jimbo's son who comes off not too bright but is possibly just more naïve than anything. He is fascinated with the hippie lifestyle of his Uncle Carroll, who, despite being in his 40s, is living like a hippie surrounded by friends, a beautiful young girlfriend, and a whole lot of drugs. Alan does smoke some weed with his cousin Mickey (Carroll's son) and later does some LSD, which leaves him pale, sweaty and uncomfortable--and prompts him to put a little in his grandpa's iced tea...LEAD
 
MICKEY- 18 yrs old, CAUCASIAN--Nice looking with long hair, Mickey is Carroll's son. An easy going guy, Mickey lives with his dad in a sort of hippie commune. He seems like an aimless kid who has no interest in his dad's suggestion that he go to college and is apparently not concerned about the looming draft and the fact that he'd be deferred if he were in school. Mickey plays in a local band with Connell, and when Connell gets his draft notice Mickey makes an uncharacteristic decision...MUST PLAY BASS GUITAR AND SING...LEAD
 
VICKY- 40s, CAUCASIAN--Fairly attractive but with a pinched, arrogant look on her face, Vicky is Jimbo's wife and a proper Southern lady. She lives at the Caldwell mansion with her father-in-law, her brother-in-law Skip, her husband and her son Alan. Supportive of her volatile husband and not a big fan of her sister-in-law Donna, Vicky likes to drag her son to church on Sundays ("'Cause we love the lord") but later has no clue that his distraught behavior is due to his having taken LSD...10 lines, 5 scenes
 
CONNELL LAMBERT- 18, African American, with a busy Afro and psychedelic shirt a la Jimi Hendrix, Connell is the grandson of Dorothy Lambert, the longtime cook and housekeeper for the Caldwells. Connell occasionally helps out at the Caldwells' as well, but he's also in a band with his friend Mickey, where he is the lead singer and guitarist, decked out in full Jimi Hendrix regalia. Connell gets some bad news in the mail: his draft notice...6 lines, 4 scenes (12)
 
DOROTHY LAMBERT- 70 yrs old, AFRICAN AMERICAN - Tall, warm, and confident, Dorothy is the longtime cook/housekeeper for the Caldwell family. The grandmother of Connell, with whom she shares a good relationship, Dorothy is usually seen at the Caldwell mansion making great Southern meals and serving ice tea (and occasionally helping out with a downed family member)...6 speeches & 7 lines, 8 scenes

Charity Shoot looking for Early 30's Man and Woman, UTAH

Utah Director is shooting a PSA for the Ronald McDonald House.

The shoot will be Thurdsay, May 12 for a few hours in the afternoon.

The location will be at a residence in either Farmington or Kaysville, Utah

They are doing this as a 100% donated service to the charity, so they can only compensate with a $50 gift certificate. However, they want to put high production value in to this project so it will be a good resume piece and it is for a good cause.

Looking for a low 30's looking Man and Woman. Have a selection of children for the spot already and they are all Caucasian, so they are looking for a Caucasian Man and Woman to play the parents. They may be asking you to give your counterpart a, "welcome home" kiss. There is no dialogue.

Friendly Reminder on all Commissions

Commissions are due on all projects where you have been paid directly from the client.
 
This is a friendly reminder that your Commissions are due within 7 days of receiving your check. 10% of the Gross before taxes are due on all Extra work where compensation is less than $100. Anything over is 15%. Any Acting, Modeling, Dancing, Promotional Modeling, etc. is 15%.
 
We will be receiving lists of Talent who have worked and on what days. If we do not receive your Commission in a timely manner we will be forced to remove you from the active Craze Agency Database. We do not want this to happen so make sure you take care of this when you are paid.
 
Normally it can take 2-5 weeks to get paid from the date(s) you worked. Let us know if have not been paid.
 
If you have paid your Commissions or have recently worked on a project where you would not have received payment yet, disregard this notice and we appreciate your promptness.
