The shoot is Monday, November 29 from 10:00am- 2:00pm and the pays is $200.

It is a short scene of a Photo Shoot.

What: Ignite! is holding auditions for the third show in our 2010-11 Booklight Reader’s Theatre season with A Night in the Theatre by Lawrence Casler.  Margaret and Stanley Locker and their friends, Donna and Walter Pace, are at the theatre for their weekly dose of culture. This week's ordeal is Hamlet. After they seat themselves with some confusion, the play consists of their incessant and hilarious chatter about themselves, their children, a dead friend and even occasionally Shakespeare's play. Secrets emerge and friendships unravel amid the audience's laughter. You may even recognize these rude playgoers as the obnoxious people who sometimes sit behind you.

 Who:  Director is looking for 2 men & 2 women to appear ages 25-50.  Please be prepared to cold read from the script.

Audition for 10 Part Web Series, Males and Females ages 18-30 Utah

DAY ZERO SYNOPSIS:
 
Day Zero is a ten part Web Series set around the mid 22nd century.  The earth has been mostly destroyed as a result of a World War.  Radiation and Fallout from a global attack has affected most of the survivors (roughly ten percent of the world’s previous population) and drove them completely crazy, also affecting their physical appearances and abilities.  The infected hunted down and killed almost all of those unaffected, but eight random strangers have managed to survive.
Auditions for this series will be held Monday, November 29th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at BYU
 
Shooting will take place throughout parts of December and will hopefully be finished by the end of January. 
 
This project is for Copy and Credit.
 
CHARACTERS
 
MICAH SLOANE: Age 18-30. One of three main antagonists, Sloane appears in three episodes of the series.  He is the implied leader of a group of stragglers who managed to survive Day Zero.  Sloane is southern, and at first seen as very laid back, diplomatic, and friendly, though has a bit of a greasy salesman edge to him and has occasional outbursts.  Out of the three antagonists, Sloane appears the most sane.
 
ANDREW MALLORY: Age 18-30. One of the three main antagonists, Andrew appears in three episodes of the first season of the series.  Andrew is arguably the most disturbed of the antagonists as he has a fascination with torture and killing.  He is prone to violent outbursts and has a certain talent with knives.  After a run-in about a year back, Andrew has an obsessive vendetta with Russell and Kat (two of the main protagonists).
 
RYAN MARTIN: Age 18-30. One of the three main antagonists, Ryan appears in one episode by means of flashback.  Along with the other two antagonists, Ryan has an obsession with the idea of repopulating the earth, though his twitchy, nervous nature falsely implies that he is not as violent as the others.  Russell kills Ryan after he shoots Kandace, a pregnant woman in their group of survivors, and tries to rape Kat.
 
KANDACE ROBERTSON: Age 18-25. Kandace appears in the fifth episode of Day Zero by means of flashback.  She is a victim of physical and emotional abuse at the hands of the main antagonist of the series and is pregnant with his child.  She shares a strong bond with Erica, a younger girl in their group of survivors and does what she can to protect her from the cruelty they live through.  She is killed when she tries to escape from their group.
 
RACHAEL SHORE: Age 18-25. Rachael is the youngest in the group and feels a constant pressure to compensate for her age and any weakness she may possess.  She acts tougher than she is in an effect to seem invulnerable, though she is actually quite sensitive.  She is argumentative, stubborn, arrogant, and angry, though on occasion tends to be flirty, particularly when dealing with Cameron’s shyness.

Four women's roles are available, and all roles are open.

About the Show:
The regional premiere of "The Marvelous Wonderettes," an off-Broadway musical, took New York by storm. Meet the Wonderettes, a doo-wop group with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts and voices to match, while they perform at their 1958 high school prom!

A musical trip down memory lane where we are treated to classic songs such as “Lollipop,” “Mr. Sandman,” “Leader of the Pack,” “Respect,” and many more.

The Empress Theatre, located in Historic Downtown Magna announces auditions for their upcoming production of Man of La Mancha.
 
Auditions will be held Saturday December 11th from 9am to 12pm at the Theatre located at 9104 West 2700 South.  Callbacks will be held December 18th by invitation only.

The directors are asking those wishing to audition prepare 32 bars of any Musical Theatre song and come prepared with a headshot and resume, as well as a list of conflicts from January 2nd to March 26th. 
 
There are parts available for 15 men ages 16-70 and 10 women ages 16 to 70.  All Parts are currently available.  Please bring sheet music or a minus track to auditions.  Readings will be done at callbacks.
Glen Carpenter will direct Man of La Mancha with musical direction by Tyler Kofoed.  Production dates will be March 4th to March 26th on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays at 7:30pm.

Man of La Mancha takes place in the late 16th century. Miguel de Cervantes (a tax collector, soldier, and author) and his assistant, Sancho, foreclose on a church that failed to pay its taxes. Thus, the Spanish Inquisition throws the two men into prison. The prisoners then steal Cervantes's possessions. However, he convinces them to allow him to win back a package of papers that would not be of value to other people. Pleading his case, Cervantes gives a dramatic defense by reenacting the story of Don Quixote of La Mancha: the passionate and poignant tale of a noble knight who lives in a world of madness and cannot see that chivalry has died. His holy quest is a mission of salvation to find compassion not for him but for others. Moved by the story, the prisoners return Cervantes' manuscript (which turns out to be his unfinished novel about Don Quixote) just before he is called before the Inquisition.
