National Talent Search for Disney feature film 'The Odd Life of Timothy Green'


Disney is currently casting for the starring role of 'Timothy Green', a boy who is 9 - 12 years of age, and the co-starring role of 'Jodi', a girl who is between the ages of 12 - 14 years of age, for the live action fantasy feature film 'The Odd Life of Timothy Green.'

Disney President of Production Oren Aviv and Disney VP of Production LouAnne Brickhouse are overseeing the feature film, which is said to be a high priority for the studio.

'The Odd Life of Timothy Green' is based on an idea by Ahmet Zappa, who is an actor-writer-producer and son of the legendary musician Frank Zappa. Ahmet Zappa is a principal at Disney-based Monsterfoot Productions and also runs Kingdom Comics, the studio's graphic novel publishing unit. Zappa has a first-look deal at Disney, where he is producing the fantasy film 'The Monstrous Memoirs of a Mighty McFearless,' based on his own novel, in addition to 'The Odd Life of Timothy Green.' Ahmet now has his own staff and offices where he develops story concepts based off the Disney library as well as scouts new talent.

Academy Award nominated writer/director Peter Hedges will direct the film. Hedges shared the Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay Oscar nomination with Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz for the film 'About a Boy.'

Disney is looking for two name stars to play 'Jim Green' and 'Cindy Green' the parents of Timothy Green, but is open to casting new faces to play the title role of Timothy Greenand the role of Joni.

Shooting on The Odd Life of Timothy Green is scheduled to begin shooting in Minnesota in October, 2010.

The casting directors for the Disney feature film 'The Odd Life of Timothy Green' are conducting a talent search for the following starring roles:

Auditions for Peter Shaffers BLACK COMEDY

Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company's BLACK COMEDY will be held on Friday, September 24th, 2010. Callbacks will be held on Saturday, September 25th.

Audition time slots will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The first hour, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., is reserved for AEA (Equity) actors only. AEA MEMBERS ONLY may email Elizabeth Williamson at elizabeth.williamson@ptc.utah.edu for an appointment beginning Friday, September 17, 2010.

Non-equity members must sign up in the office, Room 325 of the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre, located at 300 South 1400 East, Salt Lake City, beginning Friday, September 17, 2010 at 12:00 noon.

All roles are available; auditions will be held for actors ages 18 and up. The script and sides will be available in the office beginning Friday, September 17, 2010 at noon.

The rehearsal dates are from December 27, 2010 to January 13, 2011, and the show runs from January 14, 2011 to January 29, 2011. The production will be directed by Jeff Steitzer.

It's the biggest commercial contest in Utah, gives excellent credentials, and looks nice on a resume.

Paid Hair Show, Female Model Casting, 18+, BOISE!!

SEXY HAIR CONCEPTS, the fastest growing Beauty Company known for its unique Hair care products is conducting a model call on Sunday, September 19 , 2010 at a location in downtown Boise, Idaho.

They are looking for six Haircut models that will fit their Event schedule on September 20, 2010

Show time is 3-5:00pm. Selected  models must arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. the day of the event and are expected to stay until the end of the event.

The specifics on haircuts: 2 collar length – Bob type style haircuts with slight layering and no noticeable hair color. The hair must be healthy and shiny looking.

4 Haircuts that will range in style, however no longer than across shoulder blades. Must have layers and hair color must be fresh in appearance with no apparent regrowth.

Must be at least 18 years of age with proof of I.D.  NO HAIRCOLOR WILL BE DONE.

The payment will be $100-$200 depending upon the selection, model must sign a model release form in order to participate.

All models will have their haircut and styled on stage.

Mom, Dad, and 2 Teens needed for LDS Casting Shoot, Utah

LDS Audiovisual is looking for a “family” for a video project called, “Power of Prayer.” 

Who

Looking for a mom, a dad, a teenage boy and a teenage girl -- any ethnicity.  The teens should be 13 – 16 years old. The family can be a real family, or individuals put together to make a family.

These are all non-speaking roles, but talent need to be able to act, so there’s no need to submit an entire family if not ALL of the family members are actors.

The project will shoot Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in the Murray area. They anticipate the shoot will be from about 3:00pm to 10:00pm.

Female Model, ages 18-25 for Lake Powell Photo Shoot, Utah

We're doing a really quick casting for a shoot one of our major clients is doing at Lake Powell next week. 
 
They need to cast 1 more Female, who looks between 18-25 years old. Any ethnicity is good but you need to look good in a swim suit.

Here are the shoot details:

Lake Powell
Sept 21 - 24
Client will be providing transportation there and back, lodging (on a houseboat), and food.
This will be a paid shoot, with a flat rate of $400 for whole shoot.

This shoot will primarily be motion footage, with some still photography mixed in, with stock footage/photography as the end usage. Content-wise they will be covering a wide range:  hanging out on a houseboat, water activities (jet skiing, swimming, etc.), sitting by a campfire on the shore, beauty, etc.

In addition to the production that they will be doing down there, they will also be providing some recreational time to enjoy Lake Powell.
