Please come prepared with a 1 minute dramatic monologue.

Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" chronicles the Salem witch trials and the extreme behavior that can result from dark desires and hidden agendas. Young girls and a slave, Tituba, are caught playacting at casting spells. To avoid punishment, they falsely accuse neighbors of witchcraft. Fueled by fears, jealousy, secrets, lies, and greed, residents turn on each other — resulting in mass paranoia and death.

All parts are OPEN. (see character list below)

This is an amateur production.

Rehearsals will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6-9pm beginning August 18. As we get closer to performances, we will have rehearsals on some Fridays and at least one Saturday as well.

Performances will be October 23 (matinee at noon in conjunction with the Union Station Halloween Fair) through October 29th. There will be no rehearsal September 20 - 30th.

This production will be staged in an intimate setting, inside Gallery 51 at the Ogden Union Station on a stage roughly 75 ft by 25 ft. It will be a cross between black box and theater in the round.

The station is very excited to have us there, particularly as they have MANY Halloween themed events happening that same week, including a Witches Tea Party, the Fair mentioned above (which will encompass all of 25th Street) and a Paranormal Overnighter! We will be billed with these events.

Please come prepared with a short 1 minute DRAMATIC monologue. Call backs will be August 17th at 6:30 pm.

Short Film Casting, Utah

Short Film Casting
 
Working Title: "Revved up like a Deuce"
Length: Approximately 30 minutes
Genre: Teen Comedy
 
Non-Union project but they will negotiate day rates for the lead and supporting characters.
 
Auditions for this project will be held on Saturday, August 14 from 9:00am- 1:00pm in Salt Lake City.

Brief Synopsis:  Dave and his two immature buddies borrow/steal Dave's dad's gay partner's 69 Corvette to take to a party. While at the party the Vette sustains some damage. The boys have 10 hours to get the car fixed and back to the house before the dad and boyfriend get home. As the pressure rises, the friendships are tested. The story ends with a surprise, where Dave unintentionally and suprisingly resolves the conflict with his Dad and Dad's boyfriend.

This project will likely be shot on a Red One. The plan is to submit to short film festivals.
 
This project will likely contain strong/sexual language. Although there is heart to this project, including lessons learned by the characters, it ultimately is along the same lines as Superbad, American Pie, 40 year old virgin, etc.
 
Main Characters:
 
DAVE: Early 20's, life is sort of in limbo and controlled mostly by his friends Adam and Josh. 
 
ADAM: Charasmatic narcissist, constantly egging Dave on to do things in Adam's interest. Adam is constantly creating problems for Dave.
 
JOSH: Sex-crazed friend of Adam and Dave. Nearly nothing comes out of his mouth unless it is of a sexual nature.
 
Supporting Characters:
 
DAVE'S DAD: Newly outted homosexual man, conservative 
 
RONNIE: Dad's homosexual partner. Ronnie thinks, incorrectly, that Dave is not acccepting of their relationship. Ronnie wants Dave to move out of the house. 
 
KATIE: Dave's love interest. Dave has a complex about large breasts. He meets Katie at the party, really likes her, but may or may not be able to get over her big breasts.
 
LUPE: Hispanic receptionist at the body shop where the Corvette is being fixed.  Lupe witnesses and reacts to the comedy and conflict between the 3 buddies.

A young girl witness to her family slaughtered at the hand of petty robbers in a bind. 12 years later she seeks revenge, her whole life based on this moment. But will we feel pity for those 3 young men that did this now that they have moved on and have families of their own?

Roles are credited but can lead to paid work in the fall feature movie that will be a SAG film.

MILLA: Main protagonist, 20-30 female. Very attractive, Very relentless, Must be able to get emotional and violent
 
TIM: The good bad guy, has a heart, planned the heist and betrayed his teenage GF. Lawyer and stern and calm personality 20-30 male
ALEX: Tim's friend, 30's few lines
 
SAM: Tims friend 20-30s few lines
REGGIE: Older man they go to for illegal jobs. Rugged and an old friend of the family. 40-50's male
 
KEVIN: 2nd bad guy. He is sick in the head, disturbed and ends up a school teacher. Must be bale to pull off the creep style. 20'-30
JONES: 3rd bad guy. Abusive, he becomes a cop. A bad cop, very biblical and thinks he is doing gods work. More in shape character 20-30 male
 
DRIVER FRANK: Few lines, just a driver. 30-50's
MOM: Milla's mom must be attractive as well as Milla. 30's-40's female
 
YOUNG MILLA: Milla as a young teenager. Must be able to pull off fear emotionally well. Must be able to look 16-18 female
TIM WIFE: No lines just says goodbye to Tim in the morning. Housewife looking. 20-30's female
 
TIM DAUGHTER: A very young girl Tim is holding and hands over to wife when saying goodbye. 4-10 female
TASHA: Teenage girl in class, tormented by Kevin. Has the young schoolgirl look. Confused and fearful. Must be able to look 15-18 or is that age.
 
STREET GIRL 1: A girl downtown beaten by Jones. Must be able to have attitude and fight back. 20-30's female
STREET GIRL 2: A girl downtown alongside first girl. She leaves after Jones arrests the first girl. No lines. 20-30's female

Currently seeking talent for “IMAGINE”   an independent short (30 min) film. Created by Jahanara Saleh, Jonathan Steven Green, Austin James Green.

The intention in producing this film is for film festivals. They will be submitting the film to around 20 film festivals. Due to  IMAGINE being a short film, they have no budget, so this is a NON PAID job. However they produce great, professional level work and are looking for actors who can deliver the same quality of work. IMAGINE will be shot in the month of August/September.

SYNOPSIS

Imagine: A physiological drama, is about John Morris, a paramedic, who lives under a cloud of guilt after being unable to save his daughter, Brooke From drowning at a public pool.  The guilt from her death has left him numb and has shattered his relationship with his wife, Kate. Through Charged water, water that has been influenced by specific thoughts or energy, an experiment held by Dr. Arlen, John begins to connect with his daughter in an unknown world. 

Through the reoccurring events in the unknown world he becomes convinced that he has the ability to change the events that have happened in the past. confident that he can prevent her from drowning he tries to convince Kate that he can make everything the way it used to be.

Extras needed for the Short Film, "The Best Bet," Utah

Extras opportunity for "The Best Bet" short film. This time they are in need of some extras to pose 
as police officers. 
 
They need Males (20-50) with a fit build.

You would be needed for the Sunday, August 15th shoot day. This day starts filming on Sunday at 7:00pm and ends on Monday at 5:00am. For the police extras, the call time would likely be midnight with a wrap at 5:00am.

Their budget limitations will not allow them to pay extras, but they can compensate you with a copy of the finished film, a credit, and  some food for the day you shoot.

Female Feet and Legs Models needed, ages 18-45 for Spa Service Ad Shoots, Utah

We have a client who is looking for Female Foot Models to do some Spa type shots of your pedicure feet. They cannot use models with tattoos on their feet or legs.
 
The shots taken will be used for Spa Service Ads. Half day pay rates and exact shoot dates will be determined based around individual models selected.
 
Some face shots might be taken but this shoot will mostly be geared to parts modeling and will feature mainly feet and legs.

Male Volunteer Extras needed, ages 20-55, Utah

A local director who is beginning to shoot for a short film called, "The Best Bet" is in need of some extras for scenes involving an event crowd.

The shoots will be Friday, August 13-Sunday, August 15 in the evenings.

They are looking for Males between the ages of 20-55. Their preference would be people of Latin ethnicity, but in all honesty they are not getting picky; anybody is fine.

Unfortunately due to their budget they cannot pay the extras, but intend to give you a copy of the finished film, a credit, and keep you very well fed on set. They are going to great lengths to ensure all the extras are comfortable and happy.

Friendly Reminder- Commissions

August 5, 2010
Commissions are due on all projects where you have been paid directly from the client.
 
This is a friendly reminder that your Commissions are due within 7 days of receiving your check. 10% of the Gross before taxes are due on all Extra work where compensation is less than $100. Anything over is 15%. Any Acting, Modeling, Dancing, Promotional Modeling, etc. is 15%.
 
We will be receiving lists of Talent who have worked and on what days. If we do not receive your Commission in a timely manner we will be forced to remove you from the active Craze Agency Database. We do not want this to happen so make sure you take care of this when you are paid.
 
Normally it can take 2-5 weeks to get paid from the date(s) you worked. Let us know if have not been paid.
