A young girl witness to her family slaughtered at the hand of petty robbers in a bind. 12 years later she seeks revenge, her whole life based on this moment. But will we feel pity for those 3 young men that did this now that they have moved on and have families of their own?

Roles are credited but can lead to paid work in the fall feature movie that will be a SAG film.

MILLA: Main protagonist, 20-30 female. Very attractive, Very relentless, Must be able to get emotional and violent
TIM: The good bad guy, has a heart, planned the heist and betrayed his teenage GF. Lawyer and stern and calm personality 20-30 male
ALEX: Tim's friend, 30's few lines
SAM: Tims friend 20-30s few lines
REGGIE: Older man they go to for illegal jobs. Rugged and an old friend of the family. 40-50's male
KEVIN: 2nd bad guy. He is sick in the head, disturbed and ends up a school teacher. Must be bale to pull off the creep style. 20'-30
JONES: 3rd bad guy. Abusive, he becomes a cop. A bad cop, very biblical and thinks he is doing gods work. More in shape character 20-30 male
DRIVER FRANK: Few lines, just a driver. 30-50's
MOM: Milla's mom must be attractive as well as Milla. 30's-40's female
YOUNG MILLA: Milla as a young teenager. Must be able to pull off fear emotionally well. Must be able to look 16-18 female
TIM WIFE: No lines just says goodbye to Tim in the morning. Housewife looking. 20-30's female
TIM DAUGHTER: A very young girl Tim is holding and hands over to wife when saying goodbye. 4-10 female
TASHA: Teenage girl in class, tormented by Kevin. Has the young schoolgirl look. Confused and fearful. Must be able to look 15-18 or is that age.
STREET GIRL 1: A girl downtown beaten by Jones. Must be able to have attitude and fight back. 20-30's female
STREET GIRL 2: A girl downtown alongside first girl. She leaves after Jones arrests the first girl. No lines. 20-30's female

AUDITION: Ferdinand the Bull (Daytime Performances)
LOCATION: 237 South State Street, Downtown Salt Lake City

Performance Times are at 10:30am and end at approximately 12:00pm. Performance run is from Late September to mid February

3 Public Performances will be held for the public, October 8th at 7:00pm and 9th at 1pm and 4:30pm with a possible extension the following weekend. There may be two other special events scheduled.

Rehearsals are typically during the weekday mornings.

Please send a headshot and resume for consideration. Once you have been reviewed you will be contacted if you are invited to the audition. No audition piece is needed at auditions. Actors will read from the script

FERDINAND CAST DESCRIPTIONS

A woman 18-30 years old to play the parts of both Flor, the tomboyish teenage daughter of the matador, and a matronly mother cow.  Dance ability is a must.

A man 25-40 to play the matador Belmonte, as well as an adolescent and and an adult bull, and several minor characters.  A versatile voice and body are required, and some dance and puppeteering experience are very desirable.

A versatile man or woman 20-35 to play a host of different characters, especially the energetic bull Torpedo both as a calf and an adult bull, and the comical middle-aged bullbuyer Ramon. Puppeteering skills and a good deal of body acting will be essential.

A man or woman 18-30 to play the bull Ferdinand as a calf, and the teenage boy Pedro.  Must be able to operate a puppet well, and must be willing to run the lighting and sound for a portion of each performance.

A big, powerful-looking man aged 18-40 to play the adult bull Ferdinand.  Some dance ability is desirable.  Would be expected to operate the lighting and sound for a portion of each performance.

Here is how it will work:
 
On Thursday, August 5 between 10:00am- 1:00pm, you will go into a local studio in Midvale, Utah and record the testimonial on-camera. The testimonials are one-liners and will be given to you when you arrive.
 
IMPORTANT- If your Testimonial is selected by the client, they will contact Craze and you will receive a $75 compensation and your testimonial will show up on the Infomercial.

Short Film "IMAGINE" Casting for 1 more role. Males 40's- 60's

Currently seeking 1 Male role for “IMAGINE” an independent short (30 min) film. Created by Jahanara Saleh, Jonathan Steven Green, Austin James Green.

 

The filmmakers intention in producing this film is for film festivals. Will be submitting the film to around 20 film festivals.  Due to  IMAGINE being a short film, they have no budget, so this is a NON PAID job. However they produce great, professional level work and are looking for actors who can deliver the same quality of work.

 

IMAGINE will be shot in the month of August.

The film is separated in two shoots.

SYNOPSIS

Imagine: A physiological drama, is about John Morris, a paramedic, who lives under a cloud of guilt after being unable to save his daughter, Brooke From drowning at a public pool.  The guilt from her death has left him numb and has shattered his relationship with his wife, Kate. Through Charged water, water that has been influenced by specific thoughts or energy, an experiment held by Dr. Arlen, John begins to connect with his daughter in an unknown world. 

 

Through the reoccurring events in the unknown world he becomes convinced that he has the ability to change the events that have happened in the past. confident that he can prevent her from drowning he tries to convince Kate that he can make everything the way it used to be.

ABOUT THE FILM MAKERS

Jahanara Saleh and the Green Brothers, Austin and Jonathan Green have all achieved their BA degrees in film Production from the University of Utah. Their work has been noticed in several Film festivals including, San Francisco, LDS, X96, Park City film Series, The Door Post Film Project, and a nominee for best film of the year at the SLC, Art Festival 2010.

Synopsis:

Officers Jake Adams and Chad Reynolds are transporting Wade Hawkes, a convicted killer, to a maximum secure facility. Enroute Hawkes has a heart attack and the officers get him to the nearest hospital for treatment. Under the care of Alyssa, Hawkes gets the treatment he truly deserves.

CHARACTERS:

Special Agent Burton Young: 30-40’s, male, any ethnicity. He is the FBI agent assigned to take care of Wade Hawkes, a convicted killer. He is new to the assignment and has not been kept in the loop like he should be.

Synopsis:

In the fall of 1883 a rancher’s wife named Maggie Flynn buries her husband, leaving her with two fatherless children and an uncertain future. Jacob, the quiet, yet stoic lead ranch hand, starts a friendship with Maggie to help fill the void left by her loss. Life on the ranch becomes complicated for Maggie when Eli Welch, a neighboring rancher and unscrupulous businessman, attempts to pressure her into selling the ranch for less than its value. Jacob decides to take matters into his own hands.

CHARACTERS:

Jacob: Mid 30’s-late 40’s male. Tall and somewhat in shape, he’s the lead ranch hand on a large late-1800’s ranch. Has a quiet, gentle quality about him, but also has a smoldering tendency towards violence if he, or those he loves, are pushed too far.

Eli Welch: 50’s-mid 60’s male. Graying hair and bearded. Not physically domineering, but intimidating in his wealth, power, body language, and the way he speaks to others. Has a disposition which can transform from pleasant and engaging to downright deadly in a matter of seconds.

Sheriff: Mid 30’s-40’s male. A fair-minded lawman who has his constituent’s best interest at heart. He approaches his job with an open mind and careful observance.

Preacher: Early 40’s-50’s male. A country preacher who shows great sympathy for the family of the man he lays to rest.

Synopsis:

Eliza McFarland dreams of being an actress on the stage and screen. It's a passion she shares with her childhood friend, Sam, who has never given up on his dream that he and Eliza will someday be together. Eliza's husband, James, thinks her place is in the home taking care of him and their two small children instead of chasing after childish things. Eliza is a strong woman, but living in a small town during the 1920's, that strength may not be enough to hold on to her family and live the life she desperately wants to see come to past.

CHARACTERS:

James McFarland: Lead 30's A tightwad Banker. He has to be in control of everyone and everything. Thinks a woman’s role should be in the home. He loves his family but is afraid of losing it. Sam was his best friend.

Sam Witfield: Lead 30's A dashing heartthrob with a smile that melts your heart. He is best friend to Eliza. A threat to James. He is free spirited and wants to help Eliza gain her freedom. Janice: Supporting 50's, two scenes. A stern stubborn mule with a big heart. She took the job as a play director when her husband kept her from being on the stage. They are looking specifically for 4-5 Women between the ages of 20 to 30 to be sunbathers at a pool on Monday Aug 2 at about 12:00pm.
... Don't need be modelish, just regular women. Although if your a model and are interested we would love to have you.

Also, They will need 20 party goers Aug 4, Hipsters ages 20 -30.
Aug 5 is the club goers 21+ in age.

Utah Theatre Auditions

The Midvale Main Street Theater, (formerly the Comedy Circuit), will hold open auditions for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Dale Wasserman, from the novel by Ken Kesley, and directed by Mike Hardy.

Auditions are Aug. 18th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the theater, 7711 South Main Street, Midvale, UT.

Call Backs will be held August 20, at 6:00 p.m.

All actors will cold read from the script. In addition, please have a brief contemporary monologue prepared. Rehearsals will be three to four evenings a week and Saturday afternoons. Show runs Nov. 11th - Nov. 24th, 2010. There is no pay.

CHIEF BROMDEN: Huge, bull muscled Indian who stands six and a half feet tall, but carries himself like a small man that the system has struck down. mute to his fellow inmates and ward staff. Monologues exhibit a wise and sensitive, spiritual man. the heart of the show.

NURSE RATCHED: a handsome woman, her age is hard to tell. a stern, all business, perfectionist who smiles for the patients in a professional therapeutic manner. she expects her world to be just so and will do all it takes to keep it standardized. Nemesis to Mc Murphy. LEAD ROLE. 30'S UP

DALE HARDING: the head man until R.P. enters the scene. intelligent, well spoken, somewhat flamboyant. One wonders why he is in the mental institution, until the nurse unravels his insecurities in group meetings. Wears his robe like a uniform. Rival and friend to Mc Murphy. LEAD ROLE. 30'S UP

BILLY BIBBITT: a child man. a frightened rabbit in a den of wolves. a soul tortured by a domineering mother and low self esteem, affected with a terrible stammer and the desire to be one of the boys. An immediate worshiper of RP. LEAD ROLE. 20'S -UP.

SCANLON: balding, determined, and mostly quiet in his routine of assembling his imaginary bomb and feeding his paranoia delusions. SUPPORT ROLE. 50's

CHARLES CHESWICK: short, chubby, crew -cut hair style. His manner alternately truculent and cringing. Sarcasm and criticism are a normal diet in his speech. 30's / UP

MARTINI : impish, agreeable, easy to laugh, and completely delusional. He is prone to buddying with imaginary friends. He has a lot of heart and wants badly to please and to end his nightmare. 30's /UP.

DR SPIVEY: the administrative piece in the puzzle. A tired, unimaginative, worker bee for the state hospital. A man dying to experience life in a grander scale but confined to a desk and rules, who sees RP as a bold experiment, a breath of fresh air. 40's/ UP

RUCKLY: a seriously damaged man. Chronic mental patient. he requires constant care full time and does not speak except for a bark of obscenity he uses to comment with. He is forever in a Christ-like pose against a wall and through misty eyes he surveys his fellow sheep. AGE OPEN

NURSE FLYNN: a mousey, high strung, proper and professional novice in over her head. Attractive and yet non sexual ,non threatening lackey for the big nurse. 20's UP

CANDY: RP's good time girl from the outside. a hot, sexy, free spirit of the era. A kind and extroverted young woman looking for the next big adventure. Her best friend, Sandy, bar hops with her and she is loyal to R.P. She changes Billy's life. 20's/UP

SANDY: Candy's partner in crime. A party girl to end all party girls. That one that everyone talks about the next day. Bottle in hand at every occasion and first to dance. Unlucky in love. 20's /UP

AIDE WARREN: a strong, bullying, in charge worker bee to the big nurse. He loves a good b.s. session with co- worker Williams, and harassing deaf and dumb Bromden. 20's/UP

AIDE WILLIAMS: not as sadistic perhaps as his fellow aide, but eager to push people around under the radar of the rules. 20's/UP

TURKLE: part night watchman, part janitor, all boob. A good ol'boy just trying to skate by with as little effort as possible. Smells a kindred soul in R.P. 30's/UP

Auditions for Hairspray are on August 18, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Midvale Main Street Theatre. 

Be prepared to sing 18 bars of memorized music (CD player is available), to perform a 1 minute memorized monologue, and to learn a short dance while you are at the theatre.

Synopsis: A troubled young man must prove his father's innocence, so he enlists the help of an ex-Marine who teaches him the path that turns mere mortals into true heroes.

Auditions will be held by the Casting Director in downtown SLC on Saturday, July 31 from 10:00am- 1:55pm. THIS AUDITION IS ONLY FOR ACTORS THAT HAVE NOT YET BEEN SEEN!!!

Roles casting for:

Jerry - Male, 50s. Trey's father. Tall, well built, and tender hearted. The decorated war hero who has turned into a loving father. He is mourning his son Ben, who was killed in Iraq.

Ben - Male, mid-20s. Trey's older brother. The consummate all-American hero. Captain of the football team. King of the Prom. The big brother Trey can never live up to.

Debbie - Female, 18-22 years old. Cute girl next door with a smart mouth and a case of hero-worship. IS trying to complete a video assignment for an online course. She catches Trey's costumed antics on tape.

Bones - Male late 30's to early 40's. Tall, muscular, imposing thug. The complete professional hired gun who follows orders to the letter.

Female Promo Model/Demonstrator ages 21-35 for Cosmetic Events, Utah

We have a Cosmetic Event coming up in August that is need of a Promotional Model for in-store demonstrations.

Rite Aid Back to School Events

The event dates are Saturday, August 21 from 12:00PM to 4:00PM and Saturday, August 28 from 12:00PM to 4:00PM and Sunday, August 29 from 12:00pm- 4:00pm

All locations are in the East South Salt Lake City areas.

The same girl is preferred for all dates.

Pay is $15/hr!!

We will need one demonstrator per store. The demonstrator should be between the ages of 21-35 -NO ONE UNDER 21, attractive, have demonstration experience, and be very enthusiastic.

The demonstrator will be responsible for distributing samples of Kotex, performing demonstrations of Garnier skin care products and makeovers with Maybelline. All necessary materials and information will be provided to you before your first event.

Dress code will be black slacks or knee-length skirt with a black button down collared shirt and dress shoes – no open toe. Tucked in shirt and a black belt.

The Salt Lake Film Society will be holding auditions on 7/30 at the Broadway Theater from 10 am-12 pm.  Actors need to bring a 3-5 minute monologue, and they may be asked to do a cold reading.
