Open auditions for a brand new play called, "Y-light." A spoof of the Twilight series for this Halloween at the OBT, written by Patrick Gibbs, will take place Saturday, July 31, at 12pm - 3pm at the Off-Broadway theatre, 272 S. Main in SLC.

When Ella Swoon moves to the town of American Forks to live with her father and attend BYU in Provo, her life is changed forever by a mysterious boy named Edmund Sullen. Soon Ella is facing vampires, both new school and old school, as Count Dracula himself, outraged by what edmund has done to the image of vampries, seeks revenge, and University of Utah "Beerwolves" goes after the Sullens. Team Edmund wears blue and Team Jacob wears red (if they wear a shirt at all) in Patrick Gibbs's script for the OBT's Y-LIGHT.

Bring current head shots, and be prepared to do cold readings from the script and sing.

Auditions held between 12 noon - 3PM. Ages 16 years and up.

American Idol Auditions coming to Grand Junction, Colorado

July 13, 2010

Auditions will be Saturday, July 24, at Ashley Furniture Homestore, 655 N. First St.

Preregistration is mandatory and will take place July 23 beginning at 1 p.m. at the store. The audition the next day will be limited to the first 120 qualified “Idol” hopefuls. The auditions will be open to the public, and the community is invited to watch.

Simon, Ellen and Randy won’t be in town for the event, so Kevin Stanfield, co-anchor of KREX news broadcasts, and four other judges yet to be announced will critique performances.

Contestants hoping to try their luck and test their singing voice must be between the ages of 15 and 28, be a legal U.S. citizen and provide photo identification.

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

If you plan to audition, remember you have “a short time to make a big impression,” said former Broadway actor James Werner, co-founder and artistic director of High Desert Opera.

“Be unique. Have a definite unique look and do songs your own way,” he said. “Don’t sing Garth Brooks like Garth Brooks.  Put a stamp on it to make it your own.”

When choosing your song, don’t pick a modern hit, Werner added.

“Don’t do current music. A lot of people will do that,” he said. “Choose a pop song. It doesn’t have to be modern. It can be something like The Beatles.”

The local “Idol” winner will be announced live during KREX’s 10 p.m. broadcast July 24 and will be awarded round-trip airfare for two to Austin, Texas, where he or she will be guaranteed an audition in front of an “American Idol” producer.

Shoot Dates: Shooting will begin the end of July and mostly through August. Some roles will be half-day, but will be paid at a day rate.

The film is very charming and simple. It could best be described as a "Lost in Translation" feel. Ashley is in his late-twenties, Holly is in her early-twenties. They're both very much lost in their individual quarter-life crises. Ashley quit his job to travel in search of clarity. He ventures to his childhood home with plans of breaking-and-entering for the nostalgic rush. Along the way he meets Holly, who, after a short-lived relationship with her restaurant manager, also finds herself jobless and aimless. The film chronicles Holly and Ashley's brief, odd, hysterical commiseration as grown-up children stumbling through life's final bout of growing pains.

You must go into our website and fill out as much of the information that it asks for. Here are a few examples of the thousands of ways this will help all of us to increase your bookings and auditions.

 

If a client is looking for an Male Asian experienced actor age 40-55 5'10"- 6'0" or if the client is looking for a Female Model 5'8" to 5'9" age 16-19 size 4-5 with Blonde hair and Blue eyes with runway experience it will pull up a detailed list of all the people in the agency that exactly meet this criteria. This will also pull up an individual list of Extras or Models, Actors, Females, Children, Caucasians, etc. The clients can also see your resume in our database.

We asked our clients what we could do to help them book you more and this is what they want.  If you do not input the information requested you will never show up on the searches and this will dramatically hurt or eliminate your chances. We are the local leader in this detailed technology.

 

This database does not cost you anything!

 

Please remember to read the entire email so that you will not be confused about the difference between the database and website!

 

Go to http://www.crazeagency.com  and on the top left side of the page you will insert your user name. Your user name will be your first name with the first letter capitalized and then your last name no spaces in between your names with the first letter in your last name capitalized.

Some examples would be Steve Smith user name is SteveSmith, or Janet Thompson user name JanetThompson .

Now put in your password, it will be the first three letters in your first name with the first letter capitalized and then with no space put in your full last name. An example would be Steve Smith would have a password of SteSmith or Janet Thompson would be JanThompson .  

 

Now click login.

 

This will pull up a new page welcoming you and at the top left corner you will see edit profile, click that and it will pull up your page. Now you can enter your important data. Please accurately update this information anytime it changes. Fill in as much data as possible. You will see there are columns for things like your address and phone and email etc.

 

This is how we will contact you; it must be up to date. If it ever changes you need to update it immediately also email us and let us know. The vital information is only for Craze Agency and will never be given out to clients except your phone number if they need to directly call you and they have our permission

 

If you are new with Craze or it does not work give it about 7-14 days if it does not work then, email us at crazeagency@sisna.com and we will put you in manually. Be patient we have been putting in over 100,000 statistics on all of you the last 7 months! If you have a really long name it may need us to adjust it for you the first time!

Knock 'em Dead Theatre Auditions, Boise

 Knock 'em Dead Dinner Theatre auditions for its upcoming season. 
 
Auditions will be held at the theater - 415 E Parkcenter Boulevard at the Park Center Mall, Suite 110, in Boise. 
   
Come prepared to sing a song from a Broadway Musical that is similar to the style of the show(s) for which you are auditioning. There will be an experienced pianist available, as well as a cd player for recorded  accompaniment.  For the non-musical productions, auditioners will do "cold" readings from various scripts. They will not need to sing.

Auditions: Missionary Bicycle Safety Video, Males 17-40 Utah

LDS Casting is producing a Missionary Bicycle Safety Training Video for all missionaries who use bicycles on their missions.

All positions are paid. They are still working out the budget, so they don’t have exact amounts yet.

Who: Young Men; all ethnicities; ages 17-19 (Missionaries--must be willing to have missionary hair cut)- will be casting 2 actors in this category.

Men; Caucasian; ages 25-40 (Bicycle Thieves--"a little rough around the edges," with good comic timing)- they will be casting 2 actors in this category.

When: Auditions will be held in Provo on Thursday, July, 15th from 10:00 am-5:00 pm; and Friday, July, 16th from 10:00 am -4:30 pm.

Shoot Dates: July 27-30 and August 1-2. Those cast may not be needed every day.

Male Lead Actor, Late 20's for Short Action Film, Utah

Local production is looking for a lead Male Actor, late 20’s, athletic, and must be able to ride a horse for the part of Eric Lloyd.

 

Shooting dates will be July 29, 30, 31.

 

They are holding auditions for the short action film on Wednesday, July 14th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Thursday, July 15th from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah

 

“The Alliance”, is based on Gerald N. Lund’s book by the same name. Years after the earth has been destroyed, a peaceful village is visited by a mysterious technologically advanced group, determined to bring the villagers back to the alliance of four cities.

 

They are financing this film themselves in the hope to gain investment for the feature film and will offer $150 per day for their lead actor.
