Auditions for stage production of Annie, Utah

Annie Auditions:
ADULTS:  Wednesday, May 26, 2010, from 7 – 9 pm at the theatre

All children’s auditions are Saturday May 22 by appointment only.  Email bryceandmelanie@gmail.com for an audition appointment.  

Specific Requirements for children:

  • Girls must be 6 -14 years old.
  • If 6, must be able to read on their own
  • No taller than 56 inches---Each girl will be measured at auditions
  • Need performance experience
  • Prefer girls with training in singing, dancing, acting and gymnastics

**AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:  All girls will be auditioning with the same song from the play.   Music will be available on the website so you can print it out after Wednesday, May 12, or it can be picked up in the box office during regular office hours beginning May 15.
Girls must :come prepared to sing the song—an accompanist will be provided for all auditions

  • come prepared to recite a short poem or nursery rhyme
  • bring a filled out application (can be printed off the website)
  • Bring a small recent picture of themselves.

48 hour film project auditions, Utah

Local film group has registered for the 48 hour film project that will take place in salt lake city on the third week of june (18th, 19th and 20th). Since none of the teams know the genre they will be shooting until the 18th of june, they have decided to be proactive and set up a team.
 
crew is already set and now they need cast members.

Theywill be holding auditions throughout the next couple of weeks until all cast members have been decided on.

A pdf will then be sent to you that contains a few different genres with different dialogue for each genre. They are not looking for talent to memorize the lines verbatim but are more interested in how you relate to each character from the different genres and how that comes across on film. Synopsis
A short narrative student film about Ryan, a young hypochondriac, who spends most of his days  between juggling doctor appointments and deciphering his latest illness. On one of his visits to the doctor he meets an eccentric, colorful-wig wearing woman, named Avery, who sparks them both on a journey of self discovery and growing up they will never forget.

Calling all Swashbucklers and Scallywags!

Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruises is looking for energetic, personable and creative actors and actresses to be cast as pirates and damsels. Audition for a part in a scripted, live performance that takes place aboard the Pirates of the Coeur d'Alene Cruises July 1st through August 31st.

OPEN AUDITIONS: Monday, May 17th, 6pm - 9pm at the Coeur d'Alene Resort--Boardroom 3 on the 7th floor

CALL BACKS: Wednesday, May 19th, 6pm - 9pm at the Coeur d'Alene Resort--Bay 1 in the Conference Center

Actors should plan on attending the full three hours of the audition date. Call-backs are by invitation only. Actors must bring a headshot and resume and prepare to tell their favorite "pirate joke."

Rehearsals begin May 20th.

Project Description: "Reco" is a period western dramatic short film set in the late 1800's in the Utah country. It's scheduled to shoot from June 23rd to June 26th, 2010. It will be shot around the Salt Lake City area and nearby.

Twin falls Idaho-Musical theater troupe JuMP Co. is scheduling auditions for its summer production, “All Shook Up.”

SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre Announces Auditions for Summer 2010 production of “Annie Get Your Gun” 
(Orem, Utah) – SCERA announces auditions for its upcoming summer 2010 production of “Annie Get Your Gun,” directed by Jerry Elison, with music direction by Martha Glissmeyer and choreography by Mary Linda Thomas. 
 
The musical will play July 30-August 14 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays @ 8:00 pm at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre in Orem.  
   
Auditions for ages 8 and older will be Thursday, May 20 and Friday, May 21.  There are four featured youth roles, and boys and girls ages 8-15 may audition from 6-7pm only.  Auditioners age 16 to adult may audition between 7-9pm.  All roles are available.  Reading and movement auditions will be held for those invited to callbacks on Saturday May 22.  
   
Auditions will be held in Room B3 of the SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 South State, Orem.  All auditioners should prepare to sing 16 measures of a Broadway-style song of their choice. No appointment is necessary. An accompanist or CD player will be provided.  
   
Irving Berlin’s rousing musical Annie Get Your Gun is the story of legendary sharpshooter Annie Oakley, who joins Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show and falls head over heels for dashing shooting ace Frank Butler, but when she overtakes Frank as the main attraction, it sure ain’t good for romance!
