Video Game Project seeks Models, Utah

A local client is looking for 6 Men and 6 Women between the ages of 19-30 for their Murder Mystery Video Game.
 
Models must be comfortable posing in summer wear and also swimming suits: Women must be comfortable posing in bikinis and men will be shirtless in swimming trunks. Models will be used as a foundation for creating the video game characters seen in the game.
 
They have budgeted $25/hour and models can expect to be on set for 2-4 hours. They are also looking for a ethnically diverse cast.
 
They are currently in pre-production for this project and are looking to do a Test Shoot using 1 Male and 1 Female model. You would need to available for 1 hour, anytime on Monday, March 29 between 9:00am- 6:00pm at their production office in Centerville, Utah. 
 
They will pay $25 for the hour. This could be a great opportunity to meet them and get involved in the project during its early stages and ensure yourself a spot for the main shoots.

Auditions for SAG Ultra Low Budget Feature, "The Wayshower."

Auditions begin at 1:00pm on Monday, March 29th and end at 6:30pm in Salt Lake City.

Auditions will be recorded and sent to LA for the director to make a short list of actors he wants to see again. Call backs will most likely be Monday, April 5th. A final decision will be made that day. Production begins April 12th and will wrap on May 5th.

This is a SAG Ultra Low budget so the actors are paid at a rate of $100 a day.

Project: Mormon Messages, “Good Things To Come”

What: The Audiovisual Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be conducting auditions for a film project to be shot in the St. George area mid-April, 2010. 

Who: Here are the roles we are looking to fill 

                Young Father – Male, mid 20’s, must resemble Elder Jeffrey R. Holland as a young man

                Young Mother – Female, mid 20’s, must resemble Sister Pat Holland as a young woman

                Daughter – Female, 2-3 years old, brown hair

                Baby – Either gender about 3 months old

                Kindly Neighbor – Male, 60’s or older

                Mechanic – Male, 20’s-40’s

Most of what they will shoot will be voiced over with a conference talk by Elder Holland, but the Father and the Kindly Neighbor will have a line or two of dialogue and some improvisation will be required.

Please note:  All participants must be temple-worthy members of the LDS Church.

Short Film Casting Call- Nampa, Idaho

Northwest Nazarene Spring Film Shoot

The Mass Communications department at Northwest Nazarene University will be shooting a 16mm film in April and is in need of talent! We will be filming on April 9th, 10th, and 11th, Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday afternoon and evening.

The film is a period piece set in 4 B.C. Palestine, and will be shot in a studio and outside on location. Production will be working with animals, and various scenes include stunts and special makeup.
 
All talent positions are volunteer, and very much appreciated! Looking for talent for the following roles:

ELIAKIM - Shepherd -- 40s, a rich shepherd who spends his time in hard work to support and care for his family. Though he is knowledgeable he is also wise and wastes no time in politics or intellectualizing, though he does not condemn those who do.

DECHA – Angry gang leader in his 40s who has a hard, rough exterior. His love is food, and he is very territorial about it! He'll kill and maim for the slightest of reasons.

JOTHAM - a 10 year old shepherd boy. He's very curious about the world and its inhabitants. He’s not afraid to strike up conversations with people he has just met, and thinks of himself as 10 going on 20.

NATHAN - A taller dark skinned man in his mid thirties. Has a strong conviction as to what is right and wrong and is willing to do what is necessary to uphold his beliefs. He is cool headed and has a good ability to lead.

BEN ALLABAR - Decha’s right hand man -- In his late 20s or early 30s, he is strong and husky with an aggressive and mercenary nature-- not the brightest individual though. He is loyal to almost nothing but his own life.

TABITHA – 10 year old shepherd girl.

Auditions will be held on Monday, March 29th beginning at 4:00pm in Nampa.

They will audition the four adult Male roles together.

English working class – strong accent. Loves her daughters but beaten down by the difficult life of the English poor. Must be able to do English accent. (No singing required)

Erin's Mother - Age Range: 40s.
Pleasant, self-assured woman – teaches elementary school. Is dealing with the recent loss of her mother which plays into a pivotal scene in the musical. (No singing required)

Grown Up Samantha/Waitress - Age Range: 20s.
The grown up version of Angela's younger sister Samantha. (Back Up Vocals/Harmony)

Extras - There are many scenes where we need extras!

Acting tips- PLEASE READ!

With many new auditions coming up please review this information and practice it when you are working on your acting abilities.

 

These are some of the questions you should answer when you prepare to perform or audition an acting scene. Be creative and try to think out of the box. Casting Directors, producers and directors respect actors who are original and creative.

 

If you do not know the answer below just use your best judgment but make a strong choice. There really is not a right or wrong but just your interpretation.

 

By using this list below it should help you to perform and understand the acting scene much better.

Casting directors stress that you need to make and be able to perform strong choices when auditioning.

 

When practicing your audition do it for a friend or family and see if they are able to answer these questions by witnessing your actual performance.

Always try to remember the audience only knows what you are thinking by your actual performance. Learn to connect with the audience by being able to let them feel and understand what you are thinking and conveying.

Please try to be totally off page when auditioning but still be able to perform the scene precise and polished.

 

Make a worksheet every time you audition and fill in the following questions and see if your performance captured these points and details.

 

What is the physical description of my character?

 

What is the personality like of my character?

 

What are my emotions?

 

What is the personality of the other characters in the scene?

 

What is our relationship?

 

Where is the scene taking place? Describe the setting.

 

What is the time of day?

 

What type of Film, T.V. series or Commercial is this?

 

What is my character trying to accomplish?

 

What are the other characters trying to accomplish?

 

What details or nuances that make sense I can add to the scene?

 

What is the pace of the scene?

 

Where are the key shifts in the scene?

Story
A motley group of guys for hire by the Thugs and Mafians of the world to do their dirty work.  Bumbling at best they seem to get the job done or at least most of the time.

 

LEADS
Justin (22-30 age range)

Justin is the leader of MOTN.  He pulled MOTN together originally to help his brother Morris, but it has become a bit of a self-destructive escape for him as he deals with a messy separation from his wife and kid.  To further complicate things; over time he begins to have feelings for Aimee, his brother's ex-wife and member of MOTN.

 

Morris (22-30 age range)

Morris is the idiot of MOTN. He takes MOTN very seriously. Morris is angry and sarcastic.  He hates his ex-wife Aimee and loves his brother Justin.  He has always been on the wrong side of the law, in part because he has felt the world has screwed him over again and again.

 

Aimee (22-30 age range)

Aimee is the gorgeous ex-wife of Morris. She is highly skilled and tends to be motivated by relationships, mostly getting under the skin of her ex-husband. She uses the cover of joining MOTN just to bother Morris, but it's really because she doesn't have any friends outside of the group.  She tries to portray herself as a strong, carefree woman, but certainly feels alone and rejected.

 

Andre (22-30 age range)

Andre is narcissistic and oftentimes in his own world.  He performs the undercover jobs for MOTN because he can handle extraordinary amounts of pressure without one bit of stress.  He has a foreign accent, but no one is quite sure where he is from.  Andre is cold and self-serving.  He does MOTN because of the repeat opportunities to manipulate people around him.

 

Todd (22-30 age range)

Most of the time, Todd won't say a word. He is a quiet, little guy with zero interest for attention. He is a part of MOTN because he likes the occasional "success" he has with the jobs, but hates the stress. Everyone respects him, but they really don't know anything about him. When you have a lot of strong personalities, the quiet listening ear of Todd can be very refreshing. Todd has a day job as a software developer for a regional grocery store chain.

Brand Ambassador (BA): Pay Rate: $14/HR

Client: City Eventions

Program Description: Cricket Wireless will host interactive events in various markets, nationwide, to help change the perception of the brand, and to bring it into mainstream wireless communications territory.

Dates:  ALL Events Wednesday through Sunday:

·         4/14- 4/18 - Salt Lake City  

Staff Criteria: Male or Female. 20-28 Yrs. College age, smart, wholesome mid-western look, clean cut, and fresh face. No gnarly tattoos, no rowdy piercings, no funky hair styles, no pancake makeup.

Event Location: TBD – 2 Locations per market. Baseball Stadium area, local mall, or downtown area in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Staff Duties: General brand ambassador duties, engaging consumers to provide knowledge of Cricket Wireless (talking points soon come)

Attire: Client provided shirt - ALL Staff to wear Khakis and clean white sneakers.

Parking: Supplied

Dates needed: Wednesday, April 14- Sunday, April 18. Look below for specific dates and times needed.

Hours: THESE HOURS are NOT FINAL and Subject to change. Waiting on client to confirm, so you need to be flexible.

*Mandatory Training Date on Wednesday, April 7- 1 hour phone conference call

THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS YOU CAN WORK

    1. Projection Team- Dates and Hours:
6:00pm- 2:00am each night
 
-4 Males or Females needed on Thursday 4/15, Friday 4/16, and Saturday 4/17. NEED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL DATES!!

 
    2. Mobile Billboard Truck- Dates and Hours:
Could be used either 9:00am- 5:00pm or 1:00pm- 9:00pm.
 
-5 Males or Females needed for Wednesday 4/14, Thursday 4/15, and Sunday 4/18. NEED TO BE AVAILABLE ALL DATES
-4 Males or Females needed for Friday 4/16 and Saturday 4/17. NEED TO BE AVAILABLE BOTH DATES
 
    3. Interactive Storefront- Dates and Hours:
Could be used either 9:00am- 5:00pm or 1:00pm- 9:00pm each day.
 
1 Male or Female needed Wednesday 4/14, Friday 4/16, Saturday 4/17, and Sunday 4/18. NEED TO BE AVAILABLE ALL DATES.
