“Jackie O”

BYU 419 Short Film Auditions

This is an additional casting for this project. If you have previously auditiioned for this project, you do not need to attend again. Casting will be getting back to us shortly if you are selected.

Auditions for short film, "Jackie O" which is in production and set to shoot Jan 29, 30, Feb 5,6, 12,13, 2010.

The story is comedic but deals with serious issues at it's heart. Jackie, a police woman, is driven by justice, so much in fact that she forgets how to be merciful. With help from her boss and a young man named Jose, she learns kindness.

Below is the character breakdown for the roles they are currently looking for.

Pay will be negotiated.

Auditions will be carried out by appointment on Friday, January 15 starting at 9:30am  in the Harris Fine Arts Center on the BYU Campus in Provo, Utah

CHARACTERS:

TONY - Looks like he is in his late 20ʼs/early 30ʼs. Ran with the wrong crowd as a teenager but has since reformed and is doing well for himself. Was just made manager of a simple diner where he worked as night cook. Still looks a little rough and the edges under his work attire. Street-smart. Optimistic. Down to earth. Appreciative that life for him is better now than it used to be. A strong teddy-bear. Reliable. Hard working. Attractive. On the stronger side and strong willed.

CLIFF - Looks like he is in his later 40ʼs. A parole officer who looks for the best in people. Opptimistic. His philosophy is that everyone deserves a second chance and that man is fundamentally good. He is, however, a bit spineless and sort of weak. Agreeable almost to a fault. Does not stand up for himself. Feels incredibly uncomfortable around confrontation.

VERY IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ

Auditions are by appointment only. If you are interested, fit any of the above roles and would like to audition. YOU NEED TO make an appointment. Contact Lori Radcliffe at 651-214-8885 to schedule your audition appointment.
