Talent needed for Living Planet Aquarium shoot, all ages and looks, Utah

Casting Call Tuesday, November 24 in Draper, Utah

Needed:  Men, women, children to create young families; grand parents with grand children, etc. to pose as visitors of exhibits inside the Living Planet Aquarium located in Sandy.

They are looking for models to volunteer to appear in stills to be shot at the Aquarium in Sandy - 106000 South and 7th East on Tuesday, December 1, 2009.

The casting will take place Tuesday the 24th of November from 3:00pm ending at 4:30 pm.

Compensation:
This is a volunteer commitment to appear in stills for the Living Planet Aquarium, a not for profit educational company. Full Resolution Digital copies of Head shots taken during the casting session and full resolution Digital stills and digital video taken during the shoot on Dec. 1 will be
furnished to talent as compensation. Talent must sign model release from the Living Planet Aquarium.

Stills and video will be taken by advanced students of The Art Institute of Salt Lake City as their contribution to The Living Planet Aquarium nonprofit company.

Program Description:

General Growth Property Malls would like to reward their shoppers for spending in a GGP facility. The Concept: To bring about this “reward” program.

Malls (nationwide) will have Greeters and Brand Ambassadors stationed at locations within the mall. Consumers will bring their receipts to the staff, and for each “X” amount they spend, they will be rewarded with a GGP gift card to be used at the mall.

POSITION AND DUTIE:

Overbook Duties: show up at the regularly scheduled call to work time, and be prepared to work the entire event. If all regularly scheduled models show up on time, you get to go home (typically about 20 minutes after call time), and you are paid for 2 hours of your time. Logically, if someone does not show up to work, you would assume that person's responsibilities and work the full shift for the day- at the previously agreed pay rate. Note: If one of the previously booked full shift reps cancels, the OB will automatically be bumped up into the open full shift slot.

Attire:

NICE Jeans (NO holes, rips or fraying) with clean, closed-toed shoes. A shirt (size small or medium only) and hat will be provided on-site. All staffers must be clean-cut, NO visible tattoos, NO visible piercings other than ears.

MUST MUST MUST fit into a size Small (or XS) or Medium tee.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  ALL staffers MUST sign a waiver regarding their accountability and responsibility for the prizes/gift cards.

Male Actor 18-21 for Theatre Production, Utah

Needed: Male Actor for Six Degrees of Separation
  
The Wasatch Theatre Production of Six Degrees of Separation is in need of a male actor, with a look between the ages of 18-21 to play the role of Ben. I'll be honest, it isn't a large part, only a couple of lines and scenes... but with the exception of the 3 leads, none of the parts are very large.

You MUST be able to commit to the performance dates of Jan 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, & 30 --with two Saturday matinées on the 23rd and 30th. We are also meeting on the two Wednesdays prior to the performances (20th and 27th) for a speed thru.

Rehearsals are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in Nov-Dec (with the Holidays off), and then Mon-Thurs and Saturday for the weeks in January leading up to performance.

We are performing and rehearsing at the Rose Wagner Center for the performing arts, downtown (Salt Lake) at 150 West 300 South.

Wasatch Theatre Company pays a $20/performance stipend minus 15% Agency Commission.

“POWER IN HIS TOUCH”
A Non-Denominational Inspiring Musical
Presented by the Youth Enrichment Foundation
Directed by Carolyn J. Stevens

Auditions, Saturday, December 12th, starting at 9 a.m.  Appointment required.  Call 801-645-5924. Ogden Union Station Old Timer’s Hall, South End Upstairs.

Prepare to sing 32 bars from a theatre musical to show vocal range.  No a cappella.  A pianist/CD player provided.  Be prepared to identify rehearsal conflicts.  

Roles are for 10 children, ages 8-12.  Roles for 20 men and 20 women ages 18 and older.

Lead roles will be paid.  Rehearsals are Mon, Tue and Wed, 7-10 p.m. at the Ogden Union Station beginning January 5th.  Music rehearsals will be Sundays, 7-10 p.m. starting January 3rd.  

Shows performed March 26-27, at Peery’s Egyptian Theatre in Ogden and April 5-6, at Rose Wagner Theatre in Salt Lake City.  Proceeds benefit the Utah Food Bank.

Storyline:  Kendra, a modern-day single mother, is struggling to overcome a life filled with challenges.  At a rehearsal for a Christmas concern, she is overwhelmed by feelings of guilt and regret.  When she questions her worthiness to perform, her friend and co-soloist Jason tells her the story of “Sarah,” a woman who lived during the ministry of Jesus Christ.

As the audience is transported back to the dusty streets of Jerusalem, some 2,000 years ago, Kendra learns of Jesus, his mother Mary and Disciples Nathaniel and Judas Iscariot.  She also imagines characters such as Tyras, a wealthy and arrogant politician who marries Sarah, and Mordecai, his duplicitous accountant.

How did Christ’s life affect those around him and what was expected of the prophesied “King of the Jews”?  Those questions and other are explored as the story unfolds.  As both Sarah and Kendra learn of the Savior’s message of love and His redeeming sacrifice, their lives are forever transformed.

Auditions for short film, "Jackie O" which is in production and set to shoot Jan 29, 30, Feb 5,6, 12,13, 2010.  
 
The story is comedic but deals with serious issues at it's heart. Jackie, a police woman, is driven by justice, so much in fact that she forgets how to be merciful. With help from her boss and a young man named Jose, she learns kindness.  

Below is the character breakdown for the roles they are currently looking for.  
 
Pay will be negotiated and sides will be available before the Audition.  
 
Auditions will be carried out by appointment on Friday, November 20 from 4:00 PM to 8:00PM on the BYU Campus in Provo, Utah 
 
CHARACTERS:

 

Jackie Obrien

Heavier set lady. Parole officer (29 - 39).  If Chuck Noris, Rambo, and Crocodile Dundee lined up, she could give each of them a run for their money.  She is eccentric, lacks social graces and is not in to makeup.  She is justice personified but enforces it to extremes.  Suspicious of everyone, she sees the justice system as slow and too easy on criminals.  Knows neither fear nor limits.  She is alone in the world but has learned to live with it.


Jose Martinez 

Slender and smaller Latino man (23 - 27) who is soft spoken, somewhat cowardly, and does not like confrontation.


Sergeant

Firm and authoritative man (40 - 50) (Preferably African American).  He is strong and fearless and has worked the streets for years.  He is not easily surprised or caught off guard.  He knows Jackie better than most but remains rigid where their duties are concerned.
