The Hillywood Show is now casting for two principal actors for their upcoming New Moon parody based on the Twilight Saga. It is the follow up to their parody of the first film in the series.

The first role that needs to be filled calls for a lookalike of the character Felix. He is played by Daniel Cudmore in the upcoming film, New Moon. This character must be around six feet tall and have a muscular build.

FoodPlay Productions is casting This Is Your Life, a national award winning, thought-provoking and comedic show which helps teens see through media messages in order to make healthy choices around nutrition, body image, eating disorders, and media literacy. 

Rehearsals in mid January in Massachusetts. Performances run February at middle schools in the eastern US, then March-May in the Salt Lake City area. Pay, travel, some meals provided. ACTORS MUST LIVE IN THE  SALT LAKE CITY AREA, though lodging and transportation will be 
provided for out of area travel.

Actors must be able to portray characters in early to mid twenties, have strong improvisational skills and great stage presence, care about health issues and be comfortable with teens. Both actors must 
be over 18 and have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Mike: Male comic actor with a background in improvisation, strong physical comedy skills. Quick thinking and adaptability very important.

Suburban White Man is the story of an average guy that life keeps beating down. This film has a lot to do with consequences of your actions and deals a lot with race, equality, and acceptance. It is scheduled to be about 50 minutes and to travel to film festivals.

Aimsley- 20’s-30’s (lead) - Middle class white guy. Attractive and somewhat athletic. Starts to react badly once life starts to go down the tubes. Dating Janette. Hot headed but in a contained manner. Somewhat of a tragic hero. Has to be able to drive a couple of monologues forward.

Janette- 20’s -30’s (lead) – Girlfriend to Aimsley. Attractive, Gets stepped on as Aimsley reacts poorly to life. Sends Aimsley to her Uncle (Dr. Dan) for some intermediate counseling.

Dr. Dan- 40’s -50’s (lead) – Uncle to Janette. Has a psychology degree but doesn’t practice. Gentile. Is trying his best to help Aimsley and has on going conversations about life with him at his house.

Ricky- 20’s – 30’s (supporting) – Darker olive complexion- Friend to Aimsley and Janette, dating Stephani. Tries to talk some sense in to Aimsley after he reacts poorly to a situation.

Stephani – 20’s -30’s (supporting)- Dating Ricky. Has kind of a raunchy attitude towards Aimsley. Best friends with Janette.

Man – 30’s – Abuses his girlfriend in a gas station parking lot. Is confronted by Aimsley.

Woman -30’s – Abused girlfriend but protective of her boyfriend.

Mr. Roeger – 40’s -50’s – Snobbish parent of Janette.

Mrs. Roeger – 40’s -50’s – Snobbish parent of Janette.

Tow Driver- 30’s -50’s – Looks like a prick. Gets berated by Aimsley in a Tow Yard.

Short Film Project This Saturday, Utah

Local Student Director is putting together a short film assignment for this Saturday entitled, "Turncoat".
 
Actors who would be interested--will find it an aptly cinematic (albeit dramatic) project to participate in for a day.
 
Looking for three main roles:
 
MAJOR TOM- Mid-thirties, a relaxed pilot
 
The WOMAN- Mid-thirties, flirts with Major Tom but is not who she seems to be.
 
SUSPICIOUS MAN- 18+ wears aviator glasses to hide his face. He may be up to no good.

The shoot will only be a few (~5) hours long and lunch will be provided.

Spec Commercial needs Male Actors, 20-35 to play Israeli Soldiers, Utah

Local Director who specializes in national commercial spots is looking for Israeli Soldiers (6) Male ages 20-35 (approx.) for spec commercial spot. Non-speaking, action roles.
 
Authenticity is important -- must look like they could be from the region.  Time commitments -- 1 day for auditions, 1 full day of  rehearsal, weapons training - 1 shoot day = approx. 3 days. 
 
Shoot day  -- tentatively scheduled for Oct. 17th.
 
At this time there is no budget for talent (no one is getting paid, not even the Director). The spec commercial will air in New Zealand and could lead to future paying opportunities. Should be a great experience and good Resume builder.

Children and Teens Acting Workshop, Craze Agency, Utah

Children and teens!

Over the last 3-4 months we have connected with many new clients some even on a national level who are interested in booking Children and Teens!

Many of these projects are higher paying and require the talent to be very skilled at cold read film and commercial acting and have good quality acting training. 

We will be starting a kids 4-15 years of age acting workshop with Craze Booking Director Michael Risk.

The workshop will be once a week every Saturday for 4 consecutive weeks beginning October 10th from 12:00noon-1:00pm at our Sandy, Utah office

Michael will be teaching cold reads, listening, memorization and reading skills, dialogue, how to break down your sides and the script, what the key things clients are looking for on auditions, etc.

The total cost for all 4 weeks is just $95. If you want to pay per class the cost is $40. Parents are encouraged to attend so they can help work with there kids when preparing for an audition.

The new feature film Buhl, Idaho, production from Hollywood, California and produced by Heather Rae in Boise is still casting for 2 Male Roles in their upcoming feature, "Buhl, Idaho."

The film stars Scott Glenn (W and The Bourne Ultimatum) and Alison Elliott (Assassination of Jesse James and Law & Order SVU) and is shooting in Buhl from Oct 26th-Nov. 14th.

Talent does not have to be SAG, although this is a SAG project and it pays SAG rates.  
 
Shoot dates are October 26- November 14. Most roles will require only 1 or 2 days of shooting.

DAVE  -  mid to late 30’s, Caucasian, BLUE EYES, well-built,   Dave is a loving father who wants to be friends with his sons Chad & Jason. While he demands respect from them, he also takes time play and have fun.  Dave  is speechless when he discovers the body his sons have tried to bury in the woods. 3 scenes.


TERRY  -  30’s, Caucasian, rough around the edges.  Terry thinks he is a hot shot.  He speeds down a back country road trying to impress his 18 year old date and gets pulled over.  Character type.  1 scene.

 

Auditions will be held in downtown Boise, Idaho the evenings of Tuesday, September 29 and Thursday, October 1. They will also have auditions in Twin Falls, Idaho on Wednesday, September 30.
