Casting Director, Jeff Johnson's next scene study workshop will start this week, THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 24th.
 
Please note, this is an advanced class, talent should already have training and be prepared to take on new material the first night of class. For the purpose of this class they are asking that talent only register if they are prepared to be in class all four weeks, the first night all talent will be paired up with a scene partner and be given a scene, by missing a class it effects your scene partner.

Course Description:

Week one: you get a scene and scene partner, and you do a cold read with your scene partner

Week two: you bring your scene memorized and rehearse with your scene partner and block the scene.

Week three: You and your scene partner are filmed close-up performing your scene

Week four: We watch your scenes and analyze what worked and what didn’t work

This session dates will be:

A local Research Company is in need of Latino Male and Female Models for a Photo Shoot.
 
The shoot will take place the week of September 21 in Salt Lake City and you will only be needed for about 1-2 hours.
 
You will be paid $90 plus we are sometimes able to negotiate a Tearsheet from the shoot for your own personal Portfolio.

Boise Independent Feature, Male Lead Role, 25-35

Sour Bamboo Productions is holding a casting call for a Male, somewhat attractive, slender to medium build, 25-35 to play a lead role in their film, "A Strange Curse of Love."
 
The character, Mikey, is a Hard headed very anxious, easy to get along with, fun, younger male. He gets involved into a twisted story of love and insanity as he see just how even people who dont know each other are all connected in some way..
 
Payment is Defferred until end of production

The film is a roller-coaster thriller which will have everything you know about plot twists blended into a mess of the mind. If you like films like Pulp Fiction and U-Turn, this will be a grabber for you. Produced by Sour Bamboo and Directed by Malek Haneen who worked on such films as Loaded, Traitor, and several VH1 videos.

Casting Call for PAID Short Film, Utah

September 17, 2009
Casting for a 25 page short film titled, "White on Rice." 
 
Auditions will be Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 in Downtown Salt Lake City. Craze Agency has times open from 2:30pm- 3:30pm.
 
Pay will be between $100- $250 per day depending on character and length of shoot time.
 
Shoot dates are TBD.

--There is profanity throughout this film, so if anyone has a problem swearing, it is likely that the role will call for it. 

--You can read for more than 1 Role.

Characters:
 
Bridesmaid: This is the lead Female role. She is 19-23, thin, attractive face. Needs to be able to act convincingly drunk. This is a very fun role, intended for a very fun actress. 
 
Nikki: Nikki is the lead Male role. He is a bartender in his mid-20’s and is a complete womanizer. He drinks regularly, and could be called a lush. He is very attractive and a bit cocky. He is used to getting what he wants.  
 
John:   John is the bar manager and has a very dry sense of humor. He has given his life to this restaurant. He is smaller than average build and average looks, mid to late 30’s. 
 
Jackson: This character is 40-50 years old. Attractive and sharp. The character is gay but it is not easily defined. He is part of the affluent, suit-wearing society Nikki has stayed away from. 
 
Cristian: He is a late 20’s, early 30’s bartender who must be attractive. He is a tragic role, been working at the same place since high school, yet he possesses a great deal of confidence.
