Though we continually post how getting paid by the hiring client works and our commission structure, we still constantly are asked how long does it take until you are paid by the client on a project you do for the client. 

The answer is always we never know.

We now have 2 different commission options.

Option 1-The standard way we have always done it. You wait until the client pays us which can be generally anywhere from 30-120 days and you receive 85 percent of the stated rate you are working for and Craze receives 15% once the clients check clears the bank. (Please understand just like everything else in life and even with Craze screening the clients carefully there is a 2-6% rate of clients who never pay, file bankruptcy or we have to pay an attorney or collection agency to collect, which means none of us gets paid)

Option 2- You are paid immediately once the client approves that you completed the job successfully and verified the correct hours you have worked. Craze will advance you the payment even though Craze has not been paid and is taking all of the risk on when we will be paid or even getting paid period. If you choose this option you receive 70% of the stated rate you are working for and Craze receives 30%. 

If you choose this option email us at crazeagency@sisna.com after you have completed the job that you would like option 2 and we will immediately cut you your check once the client approves that you completed the job successfully. (This option is good only on any work that you will be doing as of September 11, 2009, not on any previous jobs)

Please understand we are not endorsing option 2 and  really do not want to even offer the second option but are only doing it to help the people who really need to take this option.

HOW GETTING PAID WORKS FROM THE HIRING CLIENTS WORK

As many of you have witnessed the Craze Agency has booked hundreds of our talent over the last few months. This is a fantastic thing but can also sometimes create a problem so please read the entire email so that you may understand how payment works.

Some national and even local Clients that you work for take their sweet time to pay you and us, even when we bill them with a 30-day voucher. The models and actors who have been represented by us for years have noticed some clients pay almost immediately and some take a very long time.

Often the reason why it takes a while for all of us to get paid is that the specific client that pays you the talent, has to first bill one, two or three other clients (usually the Main company or producer, then the Photographer, then the ad agency or the casting company etc.) for them to get paid. Many times each of those clients are on a 30-day voucher. Unfortunately it is the agency and talent that are paid last; it has always been that way.  This is why it takes some clients 90-150 days to pay!

Please rest assured; you will be paid as soon as we do!!! 

We have always and will always pay you as soon as the check clears our bank account! You will receive an email stating when you can receive your check the date it clears.

We just do not have time to constantly field questions about payment and become very wary of talent that continue to call asking when they will be paid. We do not know until we receive it. It is out of our control, we are not the ones hiring or paying you to do the job. We are promoting you and negotiating the rates on your behalf.

The Odyssey Dance Theatre is recruiting young dancers to participate in this season's production of "Thriller."

Auditions will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, Noon to 3 p.m., at the Point Performing Arts Academy, 55 N. 1400 West, Lindon.

Dancers ages 9 to 13 who are no taller than 5 feet are eligible to be a part of the "Chucky-Rama" piece. Select dancers taller than 5 feet may participate in the Youth Cast audition.

Dancers ages 14 and older who have strong jazz technique and can do a double pirouette are also invited to audition for other roles in "Thriller."

"Thriller" performances will take place Oct. 7-10 in the Covey Center for the Arts, Provo; Oct. 8-10 in the Browning Center at Weber State University, Ogden; Oct. 13-14 in the Kent Concert Hall at Utah State University, Logan; Oct. 14-31 at Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah; and Oct. 23-31 in the Tuacahn Amphitheatre in St. George.
