Hispanic/Latino/Mexican Adult Musicians and Dancers for LDS Project, Utah

Project:  Mormon Battalion

LDS Casting is looking for a few musicians and dancers to appear and play in a scene for their upcoming project for the Mormon Battalion visitors center in San Diego, California. The following outlines the criteria needed to apply for these positions:

1)      Must be temple worthy members of the LDS Church.

2)      Must be individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.

3)      Because it is a period piece, the musicians should have hair longer than “missionary hair cut” and you need to look Hispanic/Latino/Mexican.

4)      Filming is on Wednesday, August 5th  in Provo and the musicians would need to be available for a full 12 hour day. (It’s possible the date may change.)

        The rate is $150/person/day (This rate is somewhat negotiable.)

5)      Need professional quality musicians:  one violin player, one guitarron player, one guitar player, and a musician to play something percussive like castanets.

6)      Production will provide the music for you to play which will be a Fandango.

7)      The musicians will need to meet one additional day between now and Aug. 4th at the studio in Provo to record the music. You will be paid the day rate for this recording session as well.


1)     Looking for one couple who can dance the Fandango very well. Must look as though you could be from Mexico.

        The rate is $150/person/day (This rate is somewhat negotiable.)

Hispanic/Latino/Mexican Adult Extras for LDS Project, Utah

Project: Mormon Battalion

LDS Casting is currently booking Extras for a project that will be shown in the new Mormon Battalion visitors center in San Diego, California. One of the scenes that will be portrayed shows the battalion once they have arrived in San Diego. All of this happened in 1846 and 1847. 

Production is looking for a few Adult extras who look as though they could be from Mexico to populate this scene. As the events they are portraying occurred in the 1800’s, the men must have hair that is longer than a “missionary hair cut.” As they only need a few, they will be choosing the ones who look the best for this period.

All applicants MUST have temple recommends and be authorized to work in the United States.

Auditions will be on BYU campus in the HFAC building (here's a map http://map.byu.edu/) in room F556 on Monday, July 27 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM.
 
Looking for 4 Males in their 20's and 1 Female in her 30's.
 
There will be no monetary compensation but food will be provided.
 
Rehearsals start Thursday, July 30 and production will begin Monday, August 10 and wrap August 15.

Philip J. Fry (Fry): a 20th century slacker, works as a pizza delivery boy, is cryogenically frozen Dec. 21, 1999 and wakes up 1,000 years in the future in the city of New New York, tracks down his great (x30) nephew Professor Hubert Farnsworth through a series of events, lands a job at the Professor's Planet Express delivery company as a delivery boy, bunks with Planet Express' beer-swilling robot Bender, is constantly trying to win the heart of Leela, the company's ship captain, series regular;
 
Turanga Leela (Leela): a sexy Cyclops, the captain of the Planet Express delivery ship, in charge of every company mission, having her hands full keeping Fry and Bender in line, her early years were spent in an orphanage where she was a bit of an outcast for having one eye, took up kickboxing and other similar sports to make up for the lack of friends, still has problems with men and often gets jealous of Amy's (her co-worker) popularity among the opposite sex, has a soft spot for Fry but is unsure of anything further than that due to Fry's clumsy advances, series regular;
 
Bender Bending Rodriguez (Bender): a cigar-smoking, booze-guzzling, kleptomaniac robot, had a successful career in bending girders but tried to kill himself when he found out the girders were being used for suicide booths, was saved by Fry and later took a job at Planet Express, Bender needs the chemical energy from alcohol to be able to function properly, excessive drinking is mandatory or he will become sober and unable to control his body, magnets stuck to his head make him sing like a folk singer, series regular;
 
Professor Hubert Farnsworth (Professor): the owner of the Planet Express delivery company, which he uses to fund his strange scientific experiments, also lectures at Mars University on the mathematics of quantum neutrino fields (he made up the name so no one would dare take the course), technically 160 years old but to avoid being picked up by the sunset squad and taken to the near death star he says he is only 150, series regular;
 
Dr. John Zoidberg: a lobster-like alien, left his home planet of Decapod 10 to become a rich doctor but instead became the Planet Express staff doctor (which doesn't pay so well), is usually shunned by the rest of the Planet Express crew, always in search of his next meal, his skill as a surgeon and basic knowledge of human anatomy are often called into question, secretly desires to become a stand-up comedian, series regular.

Mom: the very old, very rich, and very ruthless founder of Mom's Friendly Robot Company, has three sons (Walt, Larry, and Igner) who work for the company and help Mom do her dirty work, Farnsworth worked for Mom's Friendly Robot Company many years ago and they had a fling, which ended when Mom kept turning Farnsworth's cute inventions into mad killing machines;
 
Zapp Brannigan: a 25-star General of the Democratic Order of Planets, has been responsible for several successful wars including a triumph over the pacifists of the Ghandi Nebula, is always accompanied on mission by his hapless assistant Kif Kroker, behind all his bravado he is a wimp who is not very intelligent, once slept with Leela, a fact that he constantly reminds her of;
 
Kif Kroker: a hard-working and long-suffering alien lieutenant of the DOOP who does all the hard work and takes the rap for problems usually caused by Zapp Brannigan (his superior officer), Zapp considers Kif to be his most loyal friend, but Kif in fact views Zapp as an imbecile, smitten with his current girlfriend Amy, has no bones and is supported by a system of inflated bladders.

BOISE- Actress, 18-30 needed for Rock Opera Style Short Film, BOISE

Boise Director is in need of an actress to play a role in an upcoming Short film that is shooting in early October. The Film is called, "Slasher: The Musical." It is a Rock Opera style project.
 
Auditions will be soon, date TBA but will be in Boise.
 
The role is that of "Barbie" and calls for an actress, 18-30, who can sing and is comfortable with the overtly sexual (in a silly, campy way) nature of the part.  
 
The shoot will be Oct. 2-4 in McCall, Idaho. You will also be needed for 1 day of recording the music in September. 
 
The cast and crew is all volunteer, and they will provide food and housing during the shoot.

BOISE Feature Film Opportunity, various, BOISE

Sour Bamboo Productions is currently in pre production on a Feature Pulp Fiction style film with a twist of Oliver Stone. Filmed in Boise, coming soon. 
 
This project will be submitted to various Film Festivals such as Sundance and Northwest Theaters and then hopefully all over nation after production.
 
Here is a breakdown of roles:

VICKY: Late 20's-30's, Cutesy, Wife of Hugo, do anything for him

SEAN: Very Cool kind of laid back character (think Travolta or Sawyer from Lost) around 30's or look it, attractive.

MIKEY: 20's, Witty, British or Scottish accent, anxious, attitude

TATTOO ARTIST: No lines, just tattoos, extra

HUGO: Tattoo shop boss, only cares about money, fun guy but a backstabber. 20-30's Biker or tattoo look

CANDI: Lead female, Very wide acting skills, multiple personalities in this role, attractive yet can play psycho 20's-30.

LEON: Candi Bodyguard, in good shape, maybe ethnic background, maybe an accent, keeps low and does what he can for Candi.

GUARD 2: Few lines, just a built bodyguard,

POOL GIRLS: these are just 2 extras they will need that are Candi's girlfriends. No lines, just need to look good in a bathing suit by pool. 20's

BUM: Crazy street straggler, needs to be able to play guitar, any age

DAMON: Mikey's roomate. Overweight, Fun loving guy everone gets along with, loves a good meal. 20's

MAL: Drug Dealer, Hippy look or kind of grundge, 20-30's

SASHA: Mal's Girlfriend and roomate, smart, laid back, friendly,20's-30s

MISTY: Cutesy and ditzy, carefree, very superficial

MICHAEL the FISHERMAN: The badman, with a soft side, italian or arabic accent (can possibly be another accent) any age.

JOSHUA: The guy behind the scenes, ends up bringing the story to its end. Killer and a lover 20'-30's

PENELOPE: Another main role, very exotic, confused on what love is, ends up getting all mixed up in the story even though she is an outsider. 20's very attractive

Possible pay. Project will most likely be copy, credit and defferd pay (you get paid when the film makes money). This will be discussed at time of hire.

We are working with a local SLC Creative Produciton Company that is looking for talent for a commercial about a new treatment for Erectile Dysfunction. It will be airing late nights on KJZZ TV.

There are no lines for the actors, just some lifestyle shots.
They need 3 people total:

    - One Male "body-builder" type between the ages of 25 - 50.
