Dido and Aeneas - Dance Auditions, Utah

The Utah/Idaho Performing Arts Company is currently preparing to hold auditions for the dance numbers in Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell.

Needed are one (1) Male and one (1) Female. There are five (5) dance movements.

Auditions will be held during rehearsal on Tuesday, July 7th at the LDS Church (LDS dress standards must be observed) located at 87 E. 7100 S. in Midvale between 7:00pm and 8:00pm. Performances will be held on August 14th and 15th in Midvale.

Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday evenings (7-9) and Saturday mornings (10-12 or 1). (Though, not all will be dance rehearsals.)

Casting for Short Film Shooting in July, Idaho

Idaho production company is currently casting for a short film to be shot in July.
 
Looking for several Men and Women ages 25 - 45. Experience stage fighting and horseback riding is a plus but not required.

The shoot will be outdoors in the desert outside of Boise in mid-July. (Yes it will be hot!) You would need to be available Saturday, July 11 from 1:00pm- 5:00pm for rehearsal and Saturday, July 18 ALL DAY for shooting,

All roles are non-paying but cast and crew will be fed, receive on-screen credit and a finished copy of the project, and are guaranteed to have a good time.

Boise Theatre

This audition is for the entire season for kids and adults!

July 18 & 20 -- Knock 'em Dead Theater holds open auditions for the coming season July 18th (Saturday) and 20th (Monday).  Auditions will be held at the theater, 333 South 9th Street.

Saturday auditions Will be from 11AM - 1 PM  for children and 2PM - 4PM for adults.  Monday times will be 7-9 PM. Sound of Music will be needing 7 children from age 7 on up, as well as approximate 30 adults.

Please come prepared to sing a song from a Broadway Musical that is similar to the style of the show(s) you are auditioning for.  There will be an experienced pianist available, as well as a cd player for recorded accompaniment. Please, no accapella auditions. Please bring sheet music and/or an accompaniment track. We will ask you to perform approximately one minute of your chosen song, however please prepare the entire song as we may want to hear more!

They will also have people do "cold" readings from various scripts - for those interested in auditioning for the non-musical productions (Murder Room and Move Over Mrs. Markham). You will not need to sing.

Auditions for Spanish Actress/Model

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, July 7 from 3:00pm- 4:00pm in Sandy, Utah.

Looking for a beautiful Spanish Woman between 19 - 35 for webisode & youtube type commercial to promote a language training course. Production is in need of someone who is cute, bubbly, and fun to watch. Someone who is at ease in front of the camera, and of course, is easy on the eyes. You would need to be willing to dress in sexy clothes. 

Must speak both Spanish & English well.

They will be doing webisodes that teach mini-Spanish lessons, while promoting the site that has the complete Spanish courses; so it is better if you have somewhat of a Spanish accent, but not so much that people have a hard time understanding. 

Right now, pay for the session is $125 for about a 1/2 Day shoot, but if the project takes off, there will be an increase in pay on future gigs. Hopefully, this will lead to more consistent work and they will need you on a semi-regular basis. 

Shoot is TBD but can be arranged within your schedule.

Actors needed for Microsoft Corp. Spot, various ages and Ethnicities, Utah

A local production company is producing a corporate spot for Microsoft.
 
The shoot dates have not been established yet, but will probably be within the next few weeks. We anticipate that the Actors will only be need for a half day and pay will be $350 for the shoot.
 
The spot will require speaking parts, so they are specifically looking for actors. Looking for six actors as broken down below. All speaking parts are 1-2 lines each.

Student Short Film Auditions, Utah

Casting call to be held in Midvale/Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

“THE WRONG ORDER”

A five-night short film production shot from July 27 to July 31.

SYNOPSIS: An assassin fumbles to keep his target from ingesting the poison he put in her drink after he discovers that she is innocent.

NOTE: This is a Student Film and they cannot pay talent.

EXPECTATIONS: This is a short film for submission to the Sundance Festival. This is not a typical student film. “THE WRONG ORDER” is a comic suspense thriller that explores the chaos simmering just beneath our every facade of order. The entire picture takes place at an outdoor Italian restaurant and follows Rob, an obsessively neat assassin who functions well only when things go smoothly, as he tries to prevent his (recently discovered innocent) target from ingesting poison, and the consequent drama that underscores the flirtations and romantic setting produce a charming result.

CHARACTERS:

ROB- A skilled assassin between the ages of 25 and 35, with short hair. The protagonist of the film, Rob obsesses over neatness and appreciates nothing more than an operation executed smoothly. A gentleman, he concerns himself with table manners and appearances, but begins to recognize that beneath his every façade of order simmers chaos into which he is swept as he tries to prevent his supposed target from ingesting poison.

ALLIE- A beautiful young woman between the ages of 20 and 30. An ex-social butterfly, Allie has abandoned all pretense and has resolved to live life without regrets after ending a short and difficult marriage that represented the fragile façade of order and neatness. Indeed, rather than conforming to any stereotypical appearance, she is prone to embrace the chaos of life and make the most of it.
