Catrine McGregor has been working in the film and television industry as a producer and casting director for over 30 years and is a member of the prestigious Casting Society of America (CSA). She has done an extensive amount of filming on location, and besides films, TV, and movies-of-the-week, has cast five IMAX movies. Two of the CD-ROM games for which she acted as consultant have won Codie Awards-the interactive version of an Oscar. In 2002 Catrine McGregor Casting, CSA cast the feature film 'Poolhall Junkies' (2002). In 2001 and 2002 she cast three Showtime movies; the directorial debut of Danny Glover, 'Just A Dream' (2002); the first directing project of Salma Hayek entitled 'The Maldonado Miracle' (2003); and from the director of 'Smoke Signals' (1998), 'The (Untitled) Chris Eyre Project'. Catrine is producing (in North Carolina) ‘Son of Shadows’ (in pre-production) and ‘As a Family’ (in development). She is also the producer of a TV modeling show in Lagos, Nigeria. Photoshoot:

Auditions are being held this Weekend (Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20) for a BYU Independent film being shot in Utah this Summer.
 
The film does have a budget and the cast would be paid. The information for the auditions is below.

STORY DESCRIPTION: 
Katherine won first place in a writing competition and all she wants is her mother, Patricia, to attend the award ceremony. Patricia loves her small and cute, prize winning show dog, Chuchi and spends a lot of time at competitions. Both Katherine and Patricia don’t see eye to eye on what’s most important to the other and Katherine grows frustrated with Patricia’s disregard to her achievements. At the culmination of her anger, Katherine drowns Chuchi in the bathtub. 
 
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:

Katherine Louise George, Age 19-22

Katherine is quiet and observant. She is better at writing than she is at verbal communication and what she struggles with most is that her mother does not relate to her, nor cares about her writing as much as Katherine would want her to. Katherine still doesn’t have the confidence nor ease to talk to her mother about what she feels or thinks. She struggles to be assertive, open and honest, and tries at any cost to avoid rejection of any kind.

Patricia Katherine George, Age 45-50

Katherine's mother. She’s practical, matter-of-fact, used to flat-out honesty and openness and sometimes can be too harsh. She appreciates Katherine’s writing, but considers it just a hobby, and hopes Katherine doesn’t choose it as a career. What she cares about most is her prize-winning dog, Chuchi, and she takes the competitions very seriously; it’s not just a hobby. She can see she doesn’t understand Katherine very well, but figures Katherine will grow out of it at some point and eventually see things her way.

AUDITION OPPORTUNITY FOR LDS YOUTH

PLEASE READ THE BELOW INFO VERY CAREFULLY!!

Project: A Tour of Temple Square -- for Youth!

LDS Casting is looking for an LDS Youth, Male or Female ages 16-19, to be their Tour Guide in a new DVD produced by the LDS Church: A Tour of Temple Square -- for Youth! 

If chosen, you will take viewers on a fun and exciting behind-the-scenes tour of the Conference Center, Tabernacle, Welfare Square, and more!

This project is PAID.

To AUDITION, please complete a VIDEO audition which includes the following:

(1) Introduce yourself (full name and that you are represented by the Craze Agency) on camera and make it part of the tour. 

(2) Take them on a brief tour of your home, a friend’s house, or another favorite place.

(3) Introduce them to your friends or your family, or someone else interesting who is there. Perhaps conduct a brief interview with them.

The purpose of this is to see how you interact with a “camera” audience.  Please play directly to camera, right into the lens, and engage the invisible audience behind the camera in what you have to say and show.

Take about 3 minutes total time for this.  Please wear nice casual, modest clothing.

Please also include:

(4) A completed Talent Release Form (Craze Agency will email you this form if you are interested)

(5) A headshot or photograph of yourself (if e-mailing, “jpg” or “bmp” files are preferred) and your Resume.

(6) Your Phone Number(s) and E-mail Address;

Auditions, "We Never Close" Feature Comedy, various Adult Roles, Utah

AUDITION!  Phase 2 for ‘WE NEVER CLOSE’ a feature comedy. 

 

These auditions, will be held Saturday, June 20th 1:00pm- 7:00pm in Clearfield, Utah


“WE NEVER CLOSE,” Synopsis:  R.C. and Chee-Wee, accused of robbing a 24 hour drive-thru sandwich shop, are locked in by an automated time locked security system and have to work the window for six hours to avoid being caught.

 

There is upfront pay for these roles.

Two 40+ year old moms to play the mothers of the 2 main characters.  This is a one scene, 1/2 day shoot, 4 1/2 script pages.


Three 35+ year old New Orleans street walkers/hookers (only one has a speaking part, but they are considering dividing the dialogue between all three).  This is for 2, 1/2 day shoots, 2 1/8 and 3 1/2 script pages.


Male Rolls

 

One 40+ year old, New Orleans police Sgt.  This is for a 3 day shoot, 2 1/2, 5/8, 1 7/8, 7, and 3 1/2 script pages.


One 40+ year old drunk on a bicycle.  This is a 1/2 day shoot, 3 1/8 script pages.


One 40+ year old New Orleans S.W.A.T Team Leader.  This is a 4 day shoot, 5 2/8, 3,

One 50+ year old sandwich shop owner.  This is a 2 day shoot, 3/8, 7, and 3 1/2 script pages.

Utah Theatre Oppportunities

Wasatch Theatre Company and the Utah Association of Regional Theatres (including Pygmalion, Avalon Isle, and Around the Glove Theatres) announce auditions for their annual Page-to-Stage Festival.
 
The Festival runs in September at the Rose Wagner Center for the Performing Arts and includes productions of original full-length and one-act plays. Those auditioning will be asked to read from provided scripts; there is an opportunity to be involved in multiple projects. Those cast in the festival will receive stipends.

Synopsis:
       A year after he disappeared on the day of his father's funeral, Walker Janeway returns to New York. He takes up temporary residence in the unused space where thirty-five years earlier, his father Ned, and Ned's late partner Theo, both architects, lived and designed the great house that would make them famous. Sleepless and emotionally jangled, Walker scours the old empty space for clues, evidences or keys to the tortured family history. Discovering his father's journal hidden under the bed, he finds it as unforthcoming as his nearly silent father had been. Walker is joined by his sister, Nan, and their friend from childhood, Pip, Theo's son, to hear the reading of Ned's will. It is there that Walker forces the confrontation that the others need. After an evening of harrowing and sometimes comically inadvertent revelations, Walker disappears once more. This time he returns later that evening with a surprising, but to him, definitive solution to the family puzzle. We travel back to 1960, when Ned's journal begins. We meet the parents at the same age their children are in Act One: Ned, who seems very different from the cold monster the children conjured; the charismatic and putative genius, Theo; and Lena, Walker and Nan's mother, the delightful, troubled "Southern woman who admits to thirty." In the guise of a love story, we are offered all the information needed to devise an alternative reading of the sad, unexpectedly romantic family story.

Rehearsals will begin JULY 22nd, and they will depend on casting. But no more than three times a weeks.

Auditions and rehearsals will be held at the St. Josephs Catholic High School in Ogden UT. Turn East on 26th from Harrison Blv. on the last street take a left, the campus is right there.

Production dates are August 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th. They are subject to change due to casting.

last chance to meet Carol Henderson, Boise

We are extremely proud to be bringing in National Talent Agent and Scout, Carol Henderson.

Carol represents the Global Stars Network and is looking for excellent Models, Actors, Singers and Dancers ages 5-49.

She will be flying into Boise one day only,  Monday,  June 15th and meeting Craze Agency talent at 4:00pm. The meeting will last about an hour and a half.

If you cannot make that time, you can meet her either at 6:00pm when she will be doing an open call Idaho search and meeting.

Carol will discuss auditioning for and meeting 25-30 of the biggest Modeling and Talent Agents throughout the world. We have worked with Carol in the past and give Carol our highest rating!

This opportunity would be well worth your time if this is something you wish to pursue. We have had excellent success in past!
