2 Male Actors needed at The Children's Theatre.

If you don't know already we are a great place to perform. So MEN, get motivated, get out of your comfort zone and reply. We have actors from all over the community of theatres perform for us and they have a great time.

We mean it! Come now, come one, come all! Read our needs below and then contact us to come down and read for us. We only need 2 very talented actors, that's all. Most actors do not understand children's theatre. It is really not different from other types of theatre. So don't be afraid.

1. Daytime performances for Schools: THE JOURNEY OF JOHNNY APPLESEED.

This is a production about the real-life story of John Chapman.
Time commitment: 9:30am - 12pm, May 11th - June 12th.
Pay: $25.00 per performance ( 15-25 performances ). You will be required to pay the Craze Agency 15% Commission if Booked.

Show is already in production, so this is easier to learn. You would be taking over the role of our current actor.

2. Mainstage Production: Jungle Book

This is a comedic version of the story
Performance Dates & Times: Fridays at 7pm and Saturdays at 1pm & 4:30pm May 1st - 30th. 15 performances total.

Pay: $150.00 for the run. You will be required to pay the Craze Agency 15% Commission if Booked.

This show is already cast except this role. Small cast (7 actors).

Role is Bagheera. This is a character role and the "straight man" of a comedy duo, like the Odd Couple, Abott & Costello, etc. Requires a british proper accent. Bagheera carries a good portion of the show, it's a great part and we need a good comedian.

We are working with an Independent Production Company out of Los Angeles. They are going to be in Salt Lake City for 3 days in May shooting a Feature.

They are looking for a very specific type of Actress for a big scene they are shooting.

Here is what they need: (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY FOR DETAILS)

We need a Female, 16-35 who owns or has access to a vehicle that is extremely difficult to start. Perhaps an old Car/Truck or vehicle with mechanical problems. For scene continuity, the vehicle can't be disabled (by pulling wires, etc) because it must eventually start up.

We realize it's unusual but the Casting Director doesn't have time to look for an Actress and a vehicle separately so we're trying to locate them together.

This is for a Featured Role in a Feature length Film shooting in late May. No lines but you will be in a scene having car starting trouble. Sort of a Damsel in distress scene.

Pay is $200 for use of vehicle and approx 3 hours on set.

PARKER (25-35 Male Caucasian) Parker:Male lead, medium build, ship navigator and programmer.He crushes on Taylor but his best friend is his digital pet that lives in the ships computers,Bucky.

LYNCH (35-45 Male Caucasian) LYNCH:Male lead,the heavy,strong build.Violent like a wild dog but cunning.He was in prison for murder and was forced into the experimental program.

TOBY (25-35 Male Caucasian) Toby:Male 2nd lead,good looking,strong build.Toby was in prison for stealing.He was originally a miner.He volunteered for the program.

SPENCER (20-40 Male Polynesian) Spencer:Male supporting.Very large build,strong, not dumb but not that smart either.Spencer was a fall guy for the local mafia on his planet.He was forced into the program because of his exceptional strength.

In-Ten-Si-T Productions is casting Intensi-T, an all-female, family friendly, high-energy dance show featuring the music of Mickey Mixin' Oliver. Mickey Oliver, prod., James Archer, dir/exec prod.

Intensi-T, is both a live theatrically staged dance review show, themed around the history of dance music, starting from the Fifties (a DJ/Dance version of American Bandstand) and a TV variety show (think American Bandstand meets Saturday Night Live meets Wild On E meets The Tonight Show). Currently it's in post production for the third episode & in the process of filming the fourth & fifth for a total of 10 episodes scheduled for its first season.

STORY-LINE: After losing his son in a car accident, Crew spends his days drinking his life away on his front porch until he is confronted by a young boy's infatuation with the old guitar that sits next to him day after day. When the young boy is critically injured, Crew must make a decision that will push him farther than he ever imagined, watch another child die, or drive intoxicated and try to save the son he couldn't before.

Crew – (Male 50’s) A very tough, unkempt, but caring man who is haunted by his past. He was helping his young son put a guitar away while driving and lost control of the vehicle. His son past away and he carries both physical and emotional wounds that haven’t properly healed; both of which he tries to medicate with drinking. Bobby reminds him a little too much of his son. LEAD

Bobby – (Male 10-15) a kind-hearted and curious boy who wants to learn how to play the guitar. He has asked his parents and they said maybe when he is older. He walks to school past Crew and gets the brilliant idea to ask for lessons on his own. He is very organized and loves to keep track of things on his notepad. He feels lost without it. LEAD

Young Crew – (Male 28-36) A very gentle and encouraging young single father. His wife died in childbirth with their son and he is raising him the best he knows how and is doing better than he thinks he is. SUPPORTING

Crew’s Son – (Male 9-12) A very bright-eyed and fun loving boy who loves his father and wants to be just like him so he tries to do everything that he does. SUPPORTING

Young Man – (Male 20’s) A brash and cocky guy who is much more interested in the young woman next to him than driving carefully or watching the road. SUPPORTING

Young Woman – (Female 20’s) A very excited and giddy girl who loves to get attention from the young man. She is concerned when their car hits something but in the end gives it little thought. SUPPORTING

Nurse #1 – (Female 25-35) A very able and experienced nurse who happens to be working the night shift at the hospital when Crew brings Bobby in. She is quick and professional and knows exactly what needs to be done. SUPPORTING

Doctor – (Male 30’s) A young and new but good doctor who has 2 children of his own. He sees Bobby’s condition and feels a small tinge of fear which he quickly suppresses and gets into doctor mode. SUPPORTING

Nurse #2 – (Female 25-35) A newer, but very competent nurse who sees the situation and immediately tries to help but is at first unsure of what to do. SUPPORTING

"Seussical," Midvale Arts Council, March 31. Children may audition from 6-7 p.m.; ages 16 and up from 7-9 p.m., Midvale Performing Arts Center, 695 W. 7720 South, Midvale.

Please come prepared with 16 bars of a song, an accompanist will be provided, no prerecorded music and no a cappella singing. Actors should also prepare a 30-second monologue from a Dr. Seuss book. Headshot and resume.

The shows runs June 19-27, directed by Stephanie Johnson.

Project:  Church History Library video “The Story Lives Here” narration

Auditioning Narrators for the Documentary, “The Story Lives Here.” 

Looking for a variety of Adult Male and Female International-sounding voices which may include native Polynesian, Asian, or African accents. The Director is particularly interested in a very resonant Male voice that sounds clearly African American.

All submissions must be from Temple worthy members of the LDS Church.

Talent selected will be paid $500 for one voice over session to be completed about the third week of April. This Film will be shown in a Kiosk at the Church History Library.
