San
Jose Repertory Theatre (San Jose, CA) is casting its 2011 season. Season
includes: Spring Awakening, A Christmas Carol, Double Indemnity (James M.
Cain, writer; David Pichette & R. Hamilton Wright, stage adaptation), God
of Carnage (Yazmina Reza, writer), The Understudy (Theresa Rebeck,
writer), and Bill W and Dr. Bob (Stephen Bergman & Janet Surrey,
writers). Bruce Elsperger, assoc. prod. Season rehearsals begin mid-Aug. 2011;
season runs to July 2012 in San Jose, CA.
Spring Awakening—The Girls: able to play late teens-early 20s, including Wendla, Martha, Thea, Anna, and Ilsa; The Boys: able to play late teens-early 20s, including Melchior, Moritz, Hansched/Rupert, Ernst/Reinhold, Georg/Dieter, and Otto/Ubrecht; Adult Woman: 40s, plays multiple roles; Adult Man: 40s, plays multiple roles. Note: All are singing roles.
A Christmas Carol—All Roles.
Double Indemnity—Two Females and Three Males: 30s-50s, to play multiple roles.
God of Carnage—Alan Raleigh, Annette Raleigh, Michael Novak, and Veronica Novak.
The Understudy—Harry: late 20s-30s; Jake: late 20s-30s; Suzanne: late 20s-30s.
Bill W and Dr. Bob—Bill W.: late 30s-40s: Lois: late 30s-40s, Bill's wife; Dr. Bob: late 40s-50s; Anne: late 40s-50s, Dr. Bob's wife; Man: 30s-50s, to play multiple roles; Woman: 30s-50s, to play multiple roles.
Note: Seeking males and females, ages 20s-70s. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
Equity principal auditions will be held Feb. 9, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (musicals) and Feb. 10, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (dramas) at ACT Theatre, 700 Union St., Seattle, WA.

up on day of the audition; sign-up begins at 9 a.m. both days. A monitor will
not be provided; the producer will run all aspects of this audition.
For
musicals, prepare one brief song; bring sheet music in your key. For dramas,
prepare two contrasting monologues (one contemporary and one classical), three
minutes total. Performers may attend both days if they want to audition for both
musicals and dramas. $765/wk. Equity LORT Non-Rep
Contract.
