Horizon Star Films, in association with IndieSOS, is casting Broken, a short film. A dark comedy about a family court judge who snaps and kidnaps a couple seeking divorce. In his madness he attempts to force them to come to some agreement that will keep them married. Producers state: The short film "will be turned into a feature film within four months of its completion. Seeking—Judge Marlow: male, 39+, an experienced family court judge who can no longer deal with the world of divorce, he is tired of the hatred, bickering, posturing, and just about every element of the world he works in; Lorna: female, 22-35, the wife of Gordon, in the middle of an angry divorce, often yelling and very upset, she must also be able to display a very loving attitude; Gordon: male, 22-35, husband of Lorna, in the middle of an angry divorce, he can be violent but has a soft side that seldom comes out but when it does it is very believable; Jimmy: male, 18-25, pizza delivery boy who is young, naive, very funny, very energetic, a little on the silly side but audience must love him; Candice: female, 30+, Jimmy's field trainer, cantankerous, snarly, demanding, simply put a real character but must have a soft side too.
